Chapter 5

"Hello, Love." Levi greets Salem as he walks into the kitchen.

"Levi! Perfect timing, I was just about to take Mila here to the lake. Would you like to join us?" Salem asks happily and Levi narrows his eyes at me.

"Already using your little gifts on my man are we, Mila? Such a naughty girl you are already." he says, and my eyes widen.

"I don't even know how to use these gifts!" I defend and he chuckles deeply.

"Levi, leave her be. Are you coming along or not?" Salem says stepping in.

"Of course, love. Our little minx here might corrupt you if not." Levi says and Salem narrows his eyes at him.

"Love, please. Once you find out who's gifted her, you will understand." Levi defends and I frown.

"No matter who gifted her or not, she is still my friend and you will be nice." Salem says and I bite my lip to keep from smiling at the mention of being called his friend.

Part of me longed for more... but to be fair. I longed for more with more than just him.

Now having him both him and Levi...

I shook my head as I gulped back the lustful thoughts.

"Fine." Levi grumbled pulling me back into reality.

"Will you stay with her for a moment while I go let Lucien know?" he asks.

"I can go..." Levi starts to say but Salem shakes his head.

"I will, you stay here." he tells him before leaving the room.

"Your good at wrapping those around you around your little finger, but I'm watching you little minx." Levi tells me as he takes Salem's seat and begins finishing the pie he had.

"Or..." I say getting up and standing directly in front of him.

"Maybe..." I murmur seductively as I run a finger down his ripped chest.

"People just like me for me." I murmur softly next to his ear before stepping away and grabbing my plate and taking it to the sink.

Before he can even say anything, Salem steps back into the room.

"Let's go!" he says with a grin and with that we both make our way towards him.

They lead me down another staircase before taking me out some back glass doors leading out onto a stone pathway that took us straight to the lake.

"Wow." I say as I take in the beauty before me.

"Come on." Salem says taking my hand and leading me around to a small trail that led to a small piece of land in the middle.

We walked over to it and I smile as I walked to the edge, letting the water run over my feet.

"This is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen." I say amazed and Salem chuckles.

"Now you can see why we all loved it here." he says, and I nod my head without turning away.

"How about a closer look?" Levi suggests and before I can question it, he scoops me up into his arms and begins walking into the water.

"Levi! Put me down!" I yell struggling against his hold.

"Levi!" Salem yells at him.

"She's fine, Salem! Relax." he yells back as he takes further in.

"Time for a swim." he tells me and before I can tell him that I can't swim, he throws me into the water and the last thing I hear is Salem yelling before being engulfed around the water.

Unlike the ocean, this water was calm, peaceful even.

I held my breath and did my best to reach towards the top, having no idea how to swim when suddenly two strong hands grabbed me and pulled me up and I sucked in a sharp breath as I emerged out of the water.

"Are you okay, Angel?!" Salem asks and I look to see him standing behind Levi who currently held me to him which despite being strange, felt right.

"Yes, it was surprisingly peaceful." I say with a smile and relief washes over him.

"I'm sorry." Levi suddenly states as he pulls back but keeps me in his arms.

"I didn't realize you didn't know how to swim... I thought all humans did." he explains, and I nod my head in understanding.

"It's okay. I'm immortal so I can't die right?" I say with a playful smile.

"Exactly! See, love!" Levi says looking back at Salem.

"How about we head back? I think Crimson is going to take her shopping." he simply replies.

"Fine." he says and carries me back until the water is low enough for me to be able to walk the rest of the way.

With only a soaked t-shirt covering me, I made my way back to the island and Salem took my hand once again leading me back into the house.

"Wait right here, I'll get you a towel." he tells me once we get inside the door.

Levi stands and waits with me while Salem grabs the towels and brings them back.

"Come on, Crimson said you could use her bathroom." he tells me, and I nod my head before following him back up the two flights of stairs before reaching one of the bedroom doors.

"Bathroom is right on the left side." he tells me, and I bid them both goodbye before making my way in to see the empty so following Salem's instruction I went into the door on the left and got myself into the shower.

Once I was done, I wrapped myself in a fresh towel before stepping out to see Crimson sitting on her bed with a smirk.

"Hello, Kitten. Come put these clothes on then I am going to take you to get some clothes of your own. I'll be waiting outside the door for you." she tells me before leaving the room and I see the pile of clothes on the bed.

Dropping the towel, I threw them on before opening the door.

"Sexy." she purrs as she takes me before grabbing my hand and leading me back down the stairs.
