Chapter 2.

As I was coming out of the office, I saw him standing in front of the office across the street.

The whole man leaned against that Rolls Royce Phantom, wearing a high-fashion suit, with a handsome face and a slender figure, looking at the watch on his hand with a cold face, exuding a dangerous and seductive aura.

The eyes of passing pedestrians fell on him, and some little girls even went straight up to ask for contact information.

If it were before, I would have rushed up to stop him and sworn my sovereignty in a high-profile manner.

But now, I just pretend I didn't see it and turn around.

I'm standing in the doorway waiting for a cab when Oliver sees me and takes a few steps across his long legs.

"You changed offices?" His tone was flat.

"Changed it a long time ago." I returned, only he didn't know it.

Oliver wasn't picking up on that or mentioning it, and blandly said, "It's Benjamin's birthday today, and he's invited us to dinner."

I froze and looked up at him, "Yeah."

Getting in the car, there was a silence.

There's a lipstick on the passenger side that's not mine.

This color is Victoria's at first glance.

I picked up the lipstick and asked knowingly, "Whose is this?"

Oliver glanced at it: "Halfsia accidentally left it earlier, don't think too much about it."

Don't think much about it? Then why didn't you return this lipstick to her?

I put my lipstick down and stopped talking.

Arrived at the hotel where we had an appointment.

They've been waiting inside for a while.

Victoria, seeing us all together, looked incredulously at us for several moments, and then said, with feigned generosity, "Oliver, Diane, you're finally here, we thought you'd gone on a sneaky date."

I smiled bashfully and looked over at Benjamin: "Sorry, I came in a hurry today and didn't have a birthday present for you."

Benjamin is Oliver and Victoria's childhood friend, and Oliver would bring me along to every party with them, so we gradually got to know each other.

"Me giving it away la is the same as you all giving it away." Victoria said playfully.

Oliver pulled me towards the table.

With only two opposing seats left at the round table, Victoria pulled out the seat beside her : "Diane, sit next to me~"

Someone next to me joked: "Oliver would more than likely prefer to sit with you."

I let go of Oliver's hand and walked right across the room to sit down, leaving Victoria next to him.

Oliver blushed slightly, but didn't say anything and sat down.

These brothers of his are not even pretending to have a heart.

In fact, I always knew that they didn't think highly of Oliver and me, and would even tell me explicitly and implicitly some times that I wasn't good enough for Mr. Dyer.

Earlier I thought that since I was Oliver's brother, I had to please them to get their approval.

So every time I give them a gift I've handpicked and I'm the first on the list for any errands.

Instead, they put the gift aside without even looking at it, thinking it was as worthy as I was.

I was the one who was foolish enough to think that even the coldest stone would be warmed.

I didn't say a word and buried my head in my food.

Oliver chatted with them as he unwrapped the crabs in his hand.

Move carefully to get all the crab meat and yolk separately.

He never peeled these shelled things himself because he was too much of a pain in the ass to do it himself.

Usually someone else gets it right and sends it straight to him.

However, he was now moving skillfully, peeling a whole bowl of crab meat and placing it in front of Victoria, before asking the waiter to bring a hot towel to carefully wipe his long fingers.

As his girlfriend, I never ate anything he peeled for me by hand.

After seeing this image, my head slumped even more and tears rolled in my eyes, burning them.

I've actually convinced myself to let it go, but after seeing it with my own eyes, it's still hard.

Benjamin notices my movements after seeing him push the crab meat to Victoria, raises an eyebrow at Oliver, and teases, "Your girlfriend looks like she wants some too, why are you only peeling it for Halfsia."

Oliver seems to react, but there's no more crab on the plate.

He called the waiter and said, "Let's get another plate."

I shook my head: "No, I don't like crabs."

"So do you eat ribs?"

"Don't want to nibble."

Oliver's handsome brows furrowed slightly as his gaze scanned the table : "So what do you like to eat? There's also pickled fish here ......"

"I don't like fish either."

His eyes flashed with dismay, as if he hadn't expected me to speak to him like that.

I lifted my head and met his gaze and said, word for word, "I don't like anything you just said."

"Diane, are you angry?" Victoria looked at me cautiously.

"Diane, take this bowl of crab meat and don't be mad at Army Oliver ......"
