Chapter 6

Erika's POV

To make things worse, my wolf woke up at that moment. She asked with astonishment, "Who is this handsome guy? I haven't seen such a good-looking man. Erika, I want him!"

I rolled my eyes, twitched my lips, and asked her to stay silent.

I dropped the hammer down, summoned a sword, and slashed it at Derek.

He didn't move the slightest until my sword touched his hair. Suddenly, he raised his hand, held my wrist, and tightened his grip.

I didn't even see clearly how he did it and the sudden pressure on my hand made me frown. The sword dropped to the ground.

Before I could give him another blow with another hand, he wrapped his arms around my body. His chest was like a wall. I guessed he could lift me in the air with one hand and throw me 10 feet away.

Then he pushed me to the ground. My head hit the ground.

I tried to get up but my arm felt weak and my head was dizzy.

"Just now, I didn't ask you a question. That's a decision," he said playfully as he crouched down.

No! I struggled to get up. But he gave me another blow on my neck and I blacked out.

I vaguely heard people talking and I was woken up.

"OK. She’s your mate now. She can live with you in your territory. But she's not staff at a hotel. She's the Gamma of my pack." It was Charles’s voice.

"It's none of my business. She is my mate and I will take her away. She'll be the Luna of my pack. Now that you’ve lost your Gamma, I agree to form an alliance with your pack against the West Fork Pack without your warriors." Derek’s voice sounded.

Now I understood it. Derek wanted to take me away. No, that was unfair to me. I was already a Gamma. How could I become his Luna?

"Deal," Charles said without hesitation.

I couldn’t believe my ears. Charles traded the best warrior in his pack for the protection of the pack. I trained his warriors and killed rogues for him and he traded me without hesitation. What a coward! He didn’t even ask my opinion! What was he thinking about?

"Open your eyes. I know you heard it, mate."

Realizing that Derek said it to me, I sat up from his arms and glared at him. Only at this time did I notice that Derek’s men and all the leaders of the Fly Rock Pack were present. We were in the pack house, but Charles gave me a you-don't-belong-to-our-pack-anymore look and averted his gaze. The other leaders lowered their heads. Their reactions made my heart sink.

"I’ll ask someone to pack your things." Charles cleared his throat and said.

"Get all her things on the car and we'll leave immediately. We’ll talk about cooperation later." After that, he signaled his men to leave.

So Derek wanted to take me to his territory as his mate and my pack wouldn’t do anything about it. I was all on my own.

I mustered all my force and punched Alpha in his jaw. He didn’t even lift a finger to stop me because I was too dizzy to cause any harm. He smiled, "You can sleep first. It's going to be a long journey."

I glared at him as a provocation.

"Understand?" He changed the smile, clenched my shoulders, and asked in a more serious tone.

I glowered at him.

"What’s the problem with you?" He squeezed my chin and grew impatient.

"Alpha Derek, she can’t talk!" Charles stood up immediately and explained.

Derek released his grip on my chin and looked at Charles in confusion. Then Derek's eyes fell on my lips.

"It's true. It's a long story. After you mark her, you can communicate with her through mind-link. She'll tell you what happened." Charles sighed and explained.

"OK." Derek nodded. A faint smile appeared on his face. It seemed that he was really thinking about marking me.

That wouldn't happen!

The moment the car started, I was car sick. I forced myself to fall asleep in case I might vomit. But I wouldn't give up escaping. The game had just begun.

Derek’s POV

What a pleasant surprise. I didn’t want anything to do with Charles and his pack. But who would have thought that I could meet my mate during the visit, although I hadn’t seen her face now?

There were so many mysteries about her, her fighting skills, her identity, and her nerve to fight me.

Charles was such a wimp as to allow a woman to be their Gamma. I could tell that she must have killed many people. She was quick at throwing daggers at me. Poor girl, I would protect her from now on and she didn’t need to fight anymore.

I looked at her swollen forehead and sighed. Did it hurt badly? She must hate me for being cruel to her, but she didn't know what a wrench it was for me to hurt my mate. My wolf was growling at me when I hurt her. But I had no choice.
