chapter 4

STELLA POV.

"Wait?"

I stopped him when we finally got out of the library, he was still holding my hand and that feeling was good. I want to smile but I can't.

Kairus turned to me and looked at me questioningly but before I could say anything he was ahead of me.

"Amara told me, I will take you with me when I go to them because she knows that we will be together for a long time." This is serious.

My shoulders dropped as I thought he just wanted to take me with him but it turned out to be Amara's order. I took a deep breath before nodding.

I smiled.

I slowly withdrew my hand that he was holding and moved it to my backpack. I don't take strength.

"W-don't worry, I'll go to my apartment." I smiled again. Kairus sighed and shook his head.

"I'll wait, come on let's go" he took my hand again and I couldn't do anything but bite my lower lip to stop myself.

We started walking in the middle of the field. My eyes are only looking ahead. My heart was beating so fast that I pretended to look around

There are only a few people because maybe they are busy with the upcoming exam. I simply looked at Kairus who kept his eyes on the phone. I pulled away as soon as we reached the parking lot.

"Get in." It's gentle. I didn't say a word and went inside. Kairus spun around in the driver's seat before he finished.

Ever since mom died, I've been isolated by myself. I live in an apartment that I bought because of my part time job at a Montero Corp. company. My aunt helps me but it's embarrassing for Amara's parents. They have helped me a lot.

I looked at Kairus who was driving seriously. Its eyes are on the road.

I can't help but be mesmerized while looking at it. He's freaking handsome, almost perfect. Rich, kind, and loving. Most of the time, this man is serious but only laughs and smiles when Amara is with him.

That's what I noticed when the three of us were together. Imagine that he flirted with my friend for six years, but for those six years, it was just them because I saw them kissing sometimes. They are so sweet to each other. Kairus gets showy when it comes to my friend.

"There u are, stop stairing, I can't concentrate on the road when someone is looking at me this close." I sat up straight because of what he said.

My cheeks heat up before I look away. It's embarrassing

"Sorry"

I said poorly. He just nodded and continued driving. During our half hour journey, we were silent but Kairus' phone rang.

I looked at it and immediately saw her wallpaper, Amara with a big smile. That's a stolen shot but even so, it's still a good shot. I also looked at the caller and gasped when I saw that it was Amara.

I looked out the window when I saw Kairus answering it with a smile.

"Babe?" Fvck. I closed my eyes tightly. I wish I had brought headphones so I wouldn't be able to hear the sweet words meant for my friend.

I calmed myself down.

That's okay, Stella. You put up with it until you can handle the pain.

"Yeah, I'm coming, I love you too." he said last before putting it down. I just felt that he was driving faster and faster.

That's what Amara does to a Kairus. Just one order from my friend, Kairus will undoubtedly do it.

We reached my apartment immediately. I immediately got out and ran to my apartment because I felt like he was in a hurry. I went inside when my phone vibrated. I looked at it

Kairus :

I'll be back! Just text me if ur done.

A message from Kairus. I bit my lower lip. I want to smile but I can't. I just replied okay before I entered my room and looked for a casual dress. Just a simple dress.

I took a half bath before I got dressed and fixed myself. I left the apartment as soon as I heard the car horn outside. I got down in a hurry and came to the car and there, I saw Kairus sitting in his car while leaning on his sport car while looking at his watch again and again.

He's freaking handsome.

Our eyes met and I couldn't help but feel nervous.

He stood up properly and my heart beat faster when he said it.

"U look so d*mn beautiful tonight Stella!"
