Chapter 6

I gazed at Alpha Garrett with a firm resolve, standing my ground as I rejected him. His smile remained, but it was cold. As he settled comfortably into the seat, he chuckled, chilling me to the bone. His words dripped with menace as he spoke, his eyes devoid of any warmth.

"Truly, I see you are not afraid of me, but I will love to see how brave you are," he said, a dangerous glint in his eyes. He then signalled one of his servants, instructing them to escort me to my room. The servant approached, gesturing for me to follow as he led the way.

"I have no time for you, little pumpkin," Alpha Garrett added dismissively as he stood up and walked away, leaving me with the servant. As we arrived at the room, the servant explained the layout, showing me the bathroom and pointing out the bell to ring for assistance. He also showed me my dressing room, saying everything in there are mine. Alpha Garrett has bought everything for me as he awaits my arrival.

I sat alone in the luxurious room, feeling a mix of anger towards Alpha Garrett. I couldn't believe he had the audacity to treat me like this, as if I was some object he owns.

I walked over to the dressing room and examined the beautiful clothes that Alpha Garrett had bought for me. Despite my anger towards him, I couldn't deny that the dresses were stunning. But I had no desire to dress up for him, to play the part of the compliant little pet he seemed to expect me to be.

Instead, I walked over to the bathroom and took a quick shower, letting the warm water wash away some of the tension that had built up inside me.

After showering and drying my hair and body, I put on one of those dresses. It's a pink short sleeveless gown and it hugged me in the right places.

I opened up my box and brought out my diary where I hid it. Trust me, I could protect this diary with my life if I had to.

I sat down on the edge of my bed and opened up my diary. The beautiful leather cover as I flipped through the pages.

I grabbed my pen and began to write down today's date, December 25th, 2023. The date was a reminder of just how quickly time was slipping away from me. Then I wrote down all my experience with Garrett since I got into his mansion.

I paused for a moment before reaching into my box and pulling out a folded sheet of paper. I unfolded it carefully to reveal my test results from the hospital. It was given to me by the doctor a few days ago. I read and reread It over again, as my eyes turned wet from the tears that threatened to drop. The result stated that I have just some months to live. But what breaks my heart more is; the doctor didn't state the exact number of months I could live. At least, I'll be preparing to die. Accomplishing all my wishes before finally saying goodbye to this cruel world.

Tears welled up in my eyes as I stared at the paper, the reality of my impending death sinking in. I quickly wiped away the tears the moment it dropped on the paper.

Lastly, I opened the pages of my jotter as I reread the romantic things I wish to do and experience for the first time and of course, with my fated mate if the moon goddess grants me one during this few months before I die. They are 30 in number.

1. Holding hands with someone special while taking a leisurely walk.

2. Sharing a passionate kiss under the stars.

3. Play games together.

4. Dancing closely with a partner at a romantic setting.

5. Having a picnic in a beautiful park or by the beach.

6. Watching a sunrise or sunset together.

7. Getting a heartfelt love letter or a handwritten note.

8. Cuddling on a cozy couch while watching a movie.

9. Cooking a meal together and enjoying it by candlelight.

10. Going on a spontaneous road trip to a new place.

11. Experiencing a couple's spa day for relaxation and pampering.

12. Having a romantic dinner at a fancy restaurant.

13. Writing down promises or vows to each other.

14. Sharing dreams and aspirations for the future.

15. Going on a hike to a scenic spot and enjoying the view together.

16. Exchanging meaningful and personal stories from the past.

17. Taking a dance class together to learn a new skill.

18. Building a blanket fort and spending the night in it.

19. Going stargazing and pointing out constellations.

20. Having a beach bonfire with s'mores and cozy blankets.

21. Sending flirtatious or cute text messages throughout the day.

22. Receiving a surprise visit or being picked up from work.

23. Trying a new adventure sport together, like kayaking or rock climbing.

24. Attending a live music concert or a romantic event.

25. Having a candlelit bubble bath together.

26. Creating a scrapbook or memory book of special moments.

27. Taking a day trip to explore a nearby town or city.

28. Sharing a first slow dance together.

29. Experiencing a romantic proposal or planning one together.

30. Falling asleep in each other's arms and waking up feeling loved.

I just really want to explore life. My stay back in the silver heart pack didn't give me much opportunity to explore much.

Closing my jolter, I took a deep breath and glanced out of the window at the setting sun painting the sky. The thought of finding my fated mate in the midst of all this beauty filled me with a sense of hope and longing. I knew that my time was limited, but I was determined to make the most of it.
