Chapter 12: I Can Produce One Billion Dollars!
Everyone was dumbfounded.
The whole room fell into a terrifying silence, not a sound could be heard.
Quentin's actions were seen as seeking death by everyone present.
"Kill him!" Sean, enduring severe chest pain, roared in agony. The bodyguards finally reacted.
They lunged forward.
"No—" Charlotte's face turned pale.
"Don't you dare bully my daddy!" Janessa cried out in distress...
These bodyguards were well-trained and powerful, how could Quentin possibly be their match? However, the next moment, their stunned expressions turned into horror.
Quentin stood tall and motionless, his body firmly planted. With a raised hand, he sent the person charging at him flying and knocked down two others behind him.
He took a step forward and exerted his strength.
The last bodyguard felt an immense pressure from above, and with a thud, he knelt to the ground.
The entire process took less than five seconds!
"You—you—" Sean's scalp tingled. He never expected Quentin's skills to be this formidable.
"Eileen," Quentin said calmly, "come in and take them out."
"Yes, sir."
Eileen, who had been quietly waiting behind the door, stepped in gracefully.
"Wait!" Emma trembled all over, her voice cold. "Quentin, have you gone mad? You've ruined us by offending Master Sean!"
Her voice was filled with resentment and anger.
Eileen calmly responded, "Ma'am, please show some respect for Mr. Holland."
"Respect for him?" Five years ago, he ruined my daughter and our family!"
"And now, five years later, he comes back and ruins our last glimmer of hope..."
"Should I respect him? On what grounds? Who does he think he is?"
"He's just a despicable person...Quentin, do you know that you've ruined our entire family?"
After roaring, Emma collapsed to the ground and cried loudly...
Quentin also felt pain.
"Mom, scum like him deserves to be beaten. I can't stand Charlotte being..."
"Get out! You better get out of here. If you take one step closer, I'll kill you—"
Emma's eyes turned bloodshot. Sean was beaten, and the marriage between the two families was undoubtedly over!
But what about the colossal debt they owed? How would they deal with those desperados? She could already imagine the fate of her family...
She didn't want to sell her daughter either!
But what other options did they have?
If Charlotte didn't marry Sean, their plight would be even more miserable...
Charlotte's heart trembled. In that moment when Quentin protected her, she was truly moved! In her entire life, no one had ever protected her like that!
That feeling of security, of being truly cared for...was comforting!
But now...
Quentin had offended Sean, and Sean would never let him off the hook!
What should they do?
Her fists clenched slowly.
"Quentin, just leave. You don't have to worry about me. The farther away you are, the better." Charlotte said coldly, "you can't afford to offend Master Sean."
"Face reality, you're no longer the young master of the Holland family!"
Her words were hurtful.
But they were meant to remind Quentin not to oppose Sean.
"Charlotte, I—" Quentin struggled to speak. "I have no reason to fear him."
Charlotte scolded bitterly, "Enough! Quentin, stop living in your fantasies, alright? In this society, you can't survive just by being able to fight!"
"They have power and influence, and with a flick of their hand, they can crush you, understand?"
"You're too naive!"
"I'm very disappointed in you..."
Charlotte felt exhausted.
Sean stood up from the ground, gritting his teeth. "I'll make your family pay! Charlotte, I want to take you tonight. Get into my bed tonight! His eyes were filled with desire and malice.
A spark of killing intent flashed in Quentin's eyes as he walked towards him. "It seems you really want to die?"
"Let Master Sean leave." Charlotte closed her eyes in pain. "Quentin, I beg you, don't disappoint me like this..."
When Quentin heard Charlotte's pained voice, he hesitated. He suppressed the killing intent in his heart and shouted, "Go away—"
Sean and the others fled in a miserable state.
"It's all your fault! It's all your fault!" Emma grabbed a broom and smashed it towards Quentin, her face filled with despair, "Master Sean left, what are we going to do..."
Quentin caught the broom, his voice determined. "Mom, you don't have to worry about the money. Don't worry about one million, even if it's one billion, I can get it for you."
As soon as he said this, Quentin regretted it because the faces of the Pittman family members showed disdain and contempt...
Emma sneered, "As long as you bring us one million today, I'll agree to you being with Charlotte."
"Otherwise, don't ever appear before us again! You dare bet?" Emma said coldly.
She believed Quentin couldn't produce a penny right now, assumed that he would lose if he dared to gamble.
