38. The Past

She was aware of what was happening because she was wearing nothing but the robe. And she also doubted if he was also wearing something under the robe wrapped around its body.

She stared at Gaunt who was staring at her intently.

"How do you do that?" she asked curiously.

"Ssssshhhh..." he just replied to her.

He then walked to the window.

"Good night, Rusty. I'll see you again." Gaunt said goodbye.

"G-Good night..." Rusty replied.

She was surprised when the window suddenly closed automatically after Gaunt came out. Nervously, she stared at it and then she looked at the table next to her bed. She grabbed her neck. She was not wearing the necklace that her dad had given her. Her throat suddenly dried up. Couldn't Gaunt be another creature and not a human being? She was nervous... The next day, Rusty was a little surprised when she met Grimm in the garden.

"Hmm... I went with Father Clemen. He talked to your Aunt Alice. I found out that you are here so I came. I have red velvet muffins to give you."
