35. BLOOD
"You're right. The woman you saw became the victim of a vampire. It bit so she was like that. She will not die but will seek blood during the night. She was probably lost in her grave because the place where she was, was already damaged. For now, it is still weak because it preys on animals. But once it has accumulated enough energy, we are dead there! It will surely victimize people and it will be her favorite to eat the blood of children."
Grimm clenched his fists.
"In that case, we should end that woman so that she can no longer sow terror."
"You're right." Clemen agrees.
"Wait, how are you going to kill the dead who is not dead?" Ricky asked the two curiously.
Clemen held a simple smile before he speak.
"It's simple, kid... We will behead her and sharp ash-wood will pierce her heart so that she will die forever. So show us where the tomb of the woman you are talking about."
"Yes."
After they talked Clemen prepared the things they needed. They will simply do it and it will not be as difficult as in their previous missions. Because the place where the old cemetery is located far away from the other town, they stayed overnight. Clemen parked his owner-type jeep on the side of the cemetery. Grimm carried the bag where the sharp ash-wood and a sharp-edged knife were. That's what matadors use to cut meat.
Clemen came down first and Grimm and Ricky followed.
"Child, point to the grave you are talking about."
"O-Opo..." Ricky said nervously. (means Yes-as sign of respect to elders when answering them.)
He walked first and went to the place where he saw the old tomb. He stopped when he was at the opening of the place. He stared at the stairs that went downstairs. Clemen approached the grave and removed some weeds that covered the opening. He read what was written there. 'In the Loving Memory of Lucy'.
"Lucy..." Clemen said the name.
He climbed down first and was followed by Grimm. Ricky was late because he was nervous about returning to the place. They immediately approached the tomb. Just like when Ricky first saw it, it was open and the coffin was empty.
"Her coffin is beautiful. Maybe her family's wealth." comment by Grimm.
"It's obvious." Ricky.
"It looks like we've been caught a little bit. All we have to do now is wait for the undead to return to her grave. After that we will rest her." Clemen said.
They can do nothing but wait.
Meanwhile... Rusty was relieved from her deep sleep. She slowly opened her eyes. She looked at the watch on the table. It is eleven o'clock at night. She rubbed her forehead. She is now at her Aunt Aice's house because her Dad is doing a test on his exorcist students. It is at the Exorcist School all Sunday. She closed her eyes again but...
"Rusty..."
She was surprised to hear her name. Someone called her. She opened her eyes again but she remained lying down.
"Rusty..."
She finally got up and looked around the room. There was no one else there besides her. She swallowed and felt a strange nervousness. She was startled when she heard a soft knock on the room window. She looked at her in shock when she saw a shadow on the curtain. She stood up and slowly walked closer to it.
"Rusty..."
From the window came the voice and it seemed familiar to her.
"Who's that?!" she asked boldly.
But she was not answered by anyone who was behind the window. She slowly opened the window and was stunned when she saw who was there. He was carrying a bouquet of white roses and sparingly smiled at her. None of her own, she opened the window.
"Y-You?! W-What are you doing there?" she wondered.
"Good Evening, Milady... I'm Gaunt Wintergreen. I'm here because I remember you owe me. I want to charge you now." Gaunt grin in mischief.
Rusty frowned and rubbed her forehead. It rests on the roof.
"What are you? What time is it, there is no store open. You can just charge me tomorrow for a treat." she said.
"I don't want to charge you for a treat. I want you to join me tonight at the lake."
She hesitated to look at it.
"B-But, it's late at night. O-One more thing, it was inside the forest, right?" she said doubtfully.
Gaunt took a deep breath.
"I have no intention of harming you. I just want to be with you now. If you want, kill me when you feel bad about me. I promise you, I will do nothing to hurt you. So come with me, even now... Please?"
Gaunt held out his right hand and Rusty stared intently at it. She was wearing pink pajama pairs.
"You told me you would get it back when you had the chance. This is all I get back from you." Gaunt said.
She glanced at his face. She eventually accepted its hand. She reached for it.
"As long as you do nothing wrong."
"Promise."
Gaunt handed the bouquet to Rusty and she accepted it. Rusty slowly came out of the window. She looked down. Her room was on the second floor of the house. She finally stepped on the roof. She hesitated to look at Gaunt's face. It smiled at her.
"W-Wait, how do we get down?"
"Is that so? Just hold on tight to me and I'll take care of it."
After that, he gently pulled her hands and wrapped them around his neck. She was surprised when it tightened on her waist.
"W-What do you think is being done-"
"Close your eyes, please..."
It did stop her from speaking. It rubbed its palm over her eyes and she closed her eyes voluntarily. After that, she felt her feet rise into the air. Her lips parted but her eyes remained closed. She would have opened her eyes but Gaunt prevented her from doing that thing. Her hair is already blowing. Moments later, she felt their gradual decline. Until her feet felt the cold grass. She let go of Gaunt's embrace but she remained in his arms.
"You can now open your eyes."
Rusty slowly opened her eyes and Gaunt's smiling face caught her eye. She blinked and stared at it.
"W-What did you do?" she wondered.
He stroked her left cheek and stared at her intently.
"Like I told you before... The magician does not reveal the secret of his magic." meaningful language.
She closed her mouth and she felt strange. Suddenly her heartbeat quickened and she felt, it was as if this scene had already happened but... Only now did she experience it? Is this called Deja vu?
"I hope you like what I prepared."
Gaunt let go of his hug and showed her what it was saying. She was impressed when she saw a mat lying on the grass, near the lake. There was a picnic basket placed there and white roses were scattered around. She was impressed because of the many fireflies flying around. They look like Christmas lights sticking to the trees. The moon was bright that night because it was full moon.
"It's beautiful..." she exclaimed.
Gaunt smiled when he saw the simple smile that shone on his companion's lips... He would not allow it to disappear from him again. It took so many years before this opportunity came.
Meanwhile... Grimm, Father Clemen and Ricky stopped playing cards. That is what they thought so that they would not be bored waiting. They heard a woman's voice singing. As Ricky said, the voice seemed to be coming from underground. They were surprised because at the same time the frightening voice of a child was crying.
Soon they saw a shadow on the stairs. The moonlight was bright and reached deep inside the tomb. A few moments later a white dress appeared on them... Little by little until the woman Ricky saw finally exposed them.
"Lucy..." Ricky exclaimed.
The woman was shocked to see them. Her mouth was full of blood and her right hand... She was hugging a two-year-old girl. Its hair is curly. The child cried and cried. The woman continued to climb down while looking at them. Her eyes were fixed on Grimm.
"Release the child!" Grimm's unbearable language.
The woman sighed and suddenly released the child she was holding. None of its own walked closer to him. Ricky quickly took the child and immediately removed him from the woman. He immediately went to Father Clemen's side.
"Tell me... What are you doing here, master?" the woman said to Grimm.
Grimm was surprised.
"Wait, what are you saying?"
"You... You are the son of my master's master. I feel that for you, and I see..." her language seemed to attract.
Grimm backed away and looked at Ricky. He was nervous about any words that might even come out of the woman's mouth. The woman walked closer to him...
"Master... Come, love me. Make me feel your warmth... Master..."
Ricky looked at Grimm in shock but he secretly smiled. The strength of her friend's appeal to malignant women! Carrying the bag, Clemen mediated between the two.
"Lucy, you need to keep quiet. Your soul is tired of the captivity of darkness." Clemen said.
Lucy's eyes widened at Clemen. After that, she suddenly vomited a lot of blood. His whole face was almost bathed. He immediately wiped his face.
"PUTEK!" Clemen exclaimed. (Putek-means mud)
The woman backed away and tried to walk away. So he used his chains to catch it. Grimm laughed heartily at the scene. Clemen began to pray for the woman. It gradually closed her eyes and using Clemen's chains, he floated its body in the air. After that, he took it to the tomb and laid it in the coffin. And when he finished praying to the woman in Latin, he blessed her with holy water for the freedom of her soul.
"Grimm, come here." he commanded.
Grimm immediately approached there.
"I was able to free her soul because of the prayer I made for her. Now, what we need to release in the dark is her physical body. That's why, you cut off her head and stab her in the heart." Clemen ordered.
Grimm glared at Clemen. He frowned.
"Wait, why me? Why haven't you finished yet?!" he complained.
"You laugh at me when I was vomited by this impact of a lot of blood! That would be annoying."
"I laughed at the scene I saw. Why?"
"Just do it. You look so close... The strength of your appeal to malignant women!" Clemen laughed.
Ricky also laughed as he hugged the child.
"Alright!" forced Grimm's language.
Grimm had already taken out the belongings in the bag he was carrying. He first took the knife and immediately aimed at the woman's neck.
"Rest in peace!" he said.
