2. Exorcist meets the Demon

"A-Are you okay?" she asked in shock.

"Of course. As you can see, I just put the big man to sleep. He's a soft boy. And the one with him, scared. He run away." Grimm explained ..

Rusty's face was full of surprise as she stared at the man... It seems like he just defeated the goons who chased her?!

"A-Are you sure you're okay? I saw that a man hit you with a hard stick earlier..." she said.

Grimm scratched his head.

"Hmf! Its just nothing. I was literally really stubborn so I just didn't care about the wood he beat me on."

Rusty raised an eyebrow and stared at it... This guy is not an ordinary person. Is this one a superhero?! Grimm was annoyed when he looked at the woman. He did not like the way it looked at him. She is thinking that he is weird. He sighed. He was used to that anyway...

"Can you please help me pick up these scattered woods so you can get me back?" Grimm whispered to the woman.

The woman helped him pick up the woods that were scattered around and they put them in a sack. After that he picked up the sack and hung it on his right shoulder... They walked out of the forest. Silence prevailed as they walked.

Grimm stopped walking and looked at the woman.

"You’re welcome, I'm kind eh! By the way, what are you doing in the jungle alone? Don't you think this place is dangerous and you are still a woman?!" he asked.

Rusty sighed and looked carefully at the face of the man who helped her.

"I'm in the jungle because I need to unleash my ability... I need to see spirits or even demons!" she said.

Grimm's ears seemed to grow and he grinned.

Our house is just near the forest. The big and old mansion, I live there." Rusty held out her right hand.

"I'm Grimm Redshade. I'm glad to meet you." the young man said happily.

"Tell me, why are you going to be in trouble when you do not see a spirit or a demon?" he asked curiously while shaking hands.

He even squeezed Rusty's hand.

"I need to see and feel spirits and demons because I belong to an exorcist family." Rusty smiled.

Grimm's eyes widened and he suddenly let go of her hand.

"Is there a problem?" Rusty asked.

"N-Nothing... I-If you belong to the family of exorcists... W-Why don't you see spirits and demons? Why don't you even feel it?" he asked curiously.

"I don't know either... That is my big problem. My family does not know about this. I don't even know how to perform exorcism. I am a failure in our clan." Rusty said sadly.

Grimm is related to how she feels. He was sentenced to death prematurely because he can’t tempt a person and he never get a human soul... Failure is what his considered father Belphegor calls him... Grimm sighed and laid the sack aside.

"Suppose, you are facing a demon... What are you going to do?" Grimm suddenly asked.

Rusty smiled at the man's question.

"Hmmm... I will challenge that demon to tempt me in exchange for my soul. That is if he can tempt me." Rusty said mischievously.

Grimm's eyes widened and he was dumbfounded... But when he recovered from the shock he smiled broadly. He grin evil. Yes, his trip is to be kind... But if this is what is served in front of him, he is very willing to be demonized...

Rusty looked around but saw nothing.

Rusty laughed softly and shook her head. It looks like, Grimm was tripping because of what she said... But at least, it eased her heart.

Rusty laughed even more... Come what may, she just rides his game... Since, Grimm saved her.

"Oh go ahead, tempt me... I will give you what you want because you saved me earlier." she just said.

Because of what Rusty said, Grimm was getting ready and thinking about how he could tempt it... He got stuck in the air because he had already thought of something. He looked at Rusty and smiled.

"I will make you the most beautiful woman in the world... Just give me your soul!" Grimm's complacent language.

Rusty frowned and shook her head.

"Sorry, Grimm... I have no intention of following in the footsteps of Helen of Troy. I am satisfied with my beauty. Try another one." Rusty replied with a smile.

She sat on a large rock next to a tree. Grimm was depressed and looked at her. Then...

Rusty stopped there, she smiled at Grimm and walked away a little.

"What now?!" Grimm asked ..
