17. CLEMEN VS GRIMM
"CLEMEN VS GRIMM"
Grimm carefully handed Rusty the paper bag with mamon(chiffon cakes) she had bought from them. Then, he reached for another one. The contents were chocolate cup cakes. Rusty looked at another bag that Grimm was giving her.
"Wait, I didn't buy that ah?" she said in amazement.
Grimm smiled sparingly at her.
"Accept it, I will give it to you. I will give you a token, because... You were in danger earlier because of me."
She sighed violently.
"It's not your fault of what happened. One more thing, you didn't leave me alone." She commented.
"Just accept it." Grimm insisted.
"All right... I might get used to that." she smiled.
She also took what it gives her. She was about to walk when Grimm stopped her. It touched her left arm.
"What now?"
"I'll take you home. I'll ride you on my bike. It's hard, you're a woman."
She laughed softly at what it said. She no longer refused. She put the paper bags with the bread in the bike basket... Then, she got up. His hair is ponytailed again. She was behind it and she stared at the young man's back for a long time... Until now, she still seems to be dreaming. That Grimm, a demon. From her childhood, she had known the demons very badly. They were mortal enemies of their clan. But Grimm was different... He was kind.
When they got in front to the gate of their house, she quickly got off the bike. Grimm handed her the two paper bags. She immediately took them.
"Thank you!" she said.
Grimm simply combed the strands of his pony tail hair.
"You've been thanking me before. I'm sick of it, ah?"
"Just, thanks anyway!"
Grimm just shook his head and laughed. Meanwhile, Constantine stopped drinking coffee when he looked out the window. He saw his daughter Rusty talking to a young man outside the gate. His eyebrows met and he breathed violently. He was thrilled to be caught in his mug. He looked closely at the young man that his daughter was talking to... Based on its features, it looks like this is the Grimm Redshade that his daugther often tells him. Hmm... That boy looked strange. Its red and long hair dominates.
He saw Rusty laughing as she talked to him. He could not help but be nervous.
"Clemen... What are you doing?!" he bit his lips.
Meanwhile...
"Okay, I'll go now." Grimm said goodbye.
"Okay! Be careful ah?" Rusty reminded.
Grimm thumbs up in response to what she said. It left. She opened the gate and entered their yard. She went straight to their house.
The next day, Grimm was busy wiping the sweat off his face and neck. He is in the forest again and busy picking firewood. He had already taken a lot, he had already filled the two sacks he was carrying.
He stopped wiping sweat and suddenly looked around. The silence in the forest was deafening at that moment. He could barely hear the birds chirping. He swallowed... He felt again that someone was watching him. He took a deep breath and resumed his work. He pretended not to notice. He was about to lift the wooden sacks when he suddenly heard footsteps approaching. He looked at what was coming and a priest appeared to him. It is still young.
"Your diligence." its language.
He smiled sparingly at him and looked carefully at the trunk sacks.
"Thank you. What are you doing here in the forest? It's dangerous here." he said.
"I'm just spending time. Maybe it's not dangerous here. You really are not afraid." Clemen retorted.
He smiled sparingly at it.
"Because, I'm used to it."
"Ah, is that so? I heard that there are many strange creatures in this forest. There are many evil spirits, ghost and demons..."
Grimm could not understand himself why he was suddenly nervous. There is an emphasis on the last word. Clemen looked at Grimm intently.
"I'm Clemen Leigh. You, kid?"
"Grimm Redshade. Leigh?! You’re related to Rusty?" he asked.
"She's my niece."
Clemen snatched his cigarette case from his pocket. He took a stick and lit it. He smoked a cigarette and exhaled several times. The young man was surprised at what he did. His eyes widened as he looked at him. His lips parted but he did not speak. He was shaken by its reaction.
"Don't say, you just saw a smoker?" he ask..
There Grimm seemed to realize... He blinked and sighed a few times. His brain could not really absorb what he saw. But true. He was really upset.
"J-Just now I saw someone like you... A priest smoking." he swallowed.
It laughed softly.
"This is how I spend my time. I used to do this before I became a priest. Like you, people are surprised when they see me doing this ordinary thing. Many ask, why?"
Clemen stopped speaking and examined Grimm from head to toe.
"Why is it?" the young man asked.
"It's simple, when I'm dead... I can't do this thing anymore. Maybe no one sells cigarettes in heaven, right? Ha ha ha! The people goes on to say that I would not have chosen this profession if I had the same view. My question is, what is the right perspective? Is everyone who says they have a good point of view, really good? Or just, they just use the words to get something or something to cover up? Child, the world is just playful... Is that right?"
Strange excitement flowed through Grimm's whole being in these moments. He was already sweating thick and cold. The person in front of him was strange. He feels scared... Is it because he is a priest or because he is Rusty's uncle? He could no longer answer the question. He simply nodded. The cigarette stick he was smoking was half full when he threw it away. It sighed violently.
"Tell me, what do you have with my niece?"
Grimm was shocked by that question. His cheeks suddenly warmed up. He will admit, he already likes Rusty.
"She's my friend." he answered weakly.
"What? Can you repeat it, kid? You said it so weakly that I didn't hear much."
"She's my friend."
This time, Grimm made sure he could hear him clearly. It folds.
"Is she your friend? Really? Do you have any purpose with her?"
Grimm was already irritated by the way it spoke. His eyebrows met and he frowned.
"What are you referring to? What purpose?!" his voice rose a little.
"You can use my niece against us. Most likely, you get her inside so you can easily get her and do what you want. Tell me the truth, do you plan to take revenge? Whose creation are you? Who is your boss?"
Grimm backed away in no time. He shook his head. He is not sure if his suspicion is correct but...
"What are you saying? Revenge? Why?"
He tries to calm down.
"Demon, I know you know what I'm telling you. Do you plan to use Rusty against us? We are a family of exorcists and our mortal opponents are demons like you."
Grimm bent down and his muscles trembled. He controls himself. He was about to explode.
"I-I am not a demon. I am a human, I have parents. I also have an older brother and a loving grandmother. You are mistaken in thinking about me. If there is news coming to you that I often get into fights with... I wasn't the one who started it then eh. I was cursed because I look weird, that's how it is. I have no bad intentions with Rusty. I will never be able to hurt her. S-She is my friend." he explained.
"If other people are in front of you, you can easily made them believe. But I am not, I am an exorcist. I know how the aura of the ordinary person differs from other creatures. From our childhood, we have been trained. Our body's channel is open in another dimension."
After that Clemen suddenly raised his right hand. He made a pentagram in the air... And after that a few volumes of electricity came out and plunged towards Grimm. Grimm quickly jumped to avoid.
"Please, stop! I'm not bad!"
"I never said you were bad. Now, what is your purpose in this world of people?"
"Nothing!"
"It is the evil that binds the afflicted souls... Chain of judgment, get out!"
Another pentagram came out. From there, so many small chains appeared. It spread around and chased Grimm. The young man ran fast to avoid the chains attacking him. He still does not rush in front of him because he can not consider it an enemy...
Clemen enjoyed watching. He is not being attacked by the demon who is his opponent. He acted and ran. He followed the young man.
Clemen triggered another pentagram, and out of it came a great deal of lightning. And because Grimm was busy avoiding chains, he was hit...
"Aaaaaargh!"
He could not explain the intense pain he felt when he was struck by strong lightning. His skin was badly burnt and it blushed. His shirt was torn due to the fire. His shorts also had a lot of tears. Grimm's body weakened and as a result, he was caught in chains. It covered his whole body. He tries to get away but he can't. They are shining white... He fell to the ground. He heard footsteps. He looked up.
"W-Why?" he asked weakly.
Clemen looked at the young man's face.
"It's simple, you're a demon, me, an exorcist. It is my mission to arrest those like you to prevent the sowing of terror."
"Y-You're wrong, I'm not bad! I will not sow terror! I just want a normal life."
Grimm struggled, but nothing happened.
"Your life will not be normal because you are not human and you do not belong to this world. Here in underground, you deserve..."
"I shouldn't be in that place! Here is my home, my family! Here I am!" he spoke emphatically.
"Really? Did you know that when someone else finds out about your secret, many exorcist will surely chase after you?! Not only that, your family will also be affected by what you say. You know why? Because they nurture a demon like you. They will also die. Do not worry, I will bless them before I finish them. I'm sorry, that's the law for exorcists..."
Grimm was stunned by what he heard. It feels like he will explode... The faces of his parents, his older brother and his kind Grandmother flashed through his mind. He was shivering. His jaws were tightening. He looked at the man staring at him.
"Never make the mistake of touching my family. Leave them alone!"
Clemen backed away in no time when he saw the eyes of the young man in front of him. They lit up as if on fire. He smiled.
"Those eyes of yours, prove that you are indeed a devil. Child, you are not in a position to command me. You can do nothing there."
"I-I warn you! You can really see my evil when you do something bad to my family! I will not allow you to move even their fingers!"
"Why are you worried about those people? After all, you are not their blood relative. You are not like them, so what's the problem if I finish them?"
Clemen looked sharply into the young man's eyes.
