Chapter 6
Damian's POV
I sit in my office reading over the report the guards outside the wall have sent me.
"Someone is sneaking people in. Those ogres getting in was one thing, but now we have vampires roaming the streets!" I hear Alex say as I glance over the piece of paper and stare at him.
"I am aware someone is letting other demons into my territory. It could be a citizen or it could be one of my very own men. Either way I will kill whoever it is." I tell him coldly as I drop the paper I was reading into the trash.
I hear a commotion outside my office as Boyd barges in, "I want to switch with someone right now! I'm not dealing with Jake another fucking minute! I'm an assassin not a fucking waiter!" He snaps as I calmly stand up.
I walk up to him not saying a word as I watch him squirm under my gaze. I take my eye off him as I hear footsteps and watch Dean walk into my office. He opens his bag and pulls out a vampire's head. "I found it on the west side of town. It was in the process of attacking Willow."
I feel anger rise up as Dean speaks, "She is fine, was just a little shaken up. I will also switch with Boyd if it shuts him the hell up. What kind of assassin can't handle being nice long enough to keep the boss' women safe?" Dean says in a mocking tone.
Boyd glares at Dean, "I don't mind babysitting one woman! It's the fact that Jake is the same asshole as always!" Boyd says to Dean and looks at me. "Out of all the women you could have picked, I don't get why you picked a weak human!" He snaps as I grab a hold of him by his throat and slam him against the wall.
"It's none of your concern why I picked her!" I growl out and tighten my hold and listen to him grasp for air. "I also suggest you remember who the fuck you are talking too Boyd!" I release Boyd and watch as he falls to the floor coughing.
"Dean, you will be switching with Boyd." I says and look at Alex. "You go find Virgil and tell him to come here." I says not in the mood as I take the vampire's head Dean was still holding. " Where's his body at?" I ask Dean. "It's down stairs" He says smirking at me.
I take the rag that is shoved in the vampire's mouth out, "Who is letting you in!" I asked the vampire.
The vampire laughs, "That girl smelled so good. I bet she would taste even better." He says with a cocky grin that shows his fangs. I laugh, " s that right?" I ask the vampire.
"Yeah it is!" He says laughing. I join in the laughing before I slam his face into the wall hard enough for blood to spray all over my wall.
"Now, let's try this again." I say as I pull the vampire's face off the wall. "Who is letting you in?" I ask as the vampire laughs with blood coming out of his mouth. "I bet she would be a great fuck!"
I see this vampire just wants to play games. Alright, I'll play this game. He will find out I'm a lot better at playing it. I don't even have to be the one doing the dirty work. He will give me the information one way or another.
"Dean, have them bring the body up here." I tell him.
Dean smirks and leaves the room. He comes back a few seconds later with guards following behind him carrying the vampire's body. The guards drop the vampire's body onto the hard wood floor.
"Ouch! You need to teach your men manners! My head may not be attached, but I can still feel things!" The vampire blurts out.
Although there is nothing that I don't know about vampires. You can chop theit heads off, dismember their bodys, bleed them out, whatever you can think of it won't kill them. It does make them pain, but it won't kill them. The only thing that kills vampires is sunlight, holy water, garlic, or fire.
"Boyd go get your tool. You're going to do some carving." I tell him as Boyd leaves the office and comes back with a black bag. He sets the bag down on the table and unzips it revealing knives, pliers, needles, hammers, and more.
I watch as Boyd takes out the hammer and walks over to the vampire's body and smashes the its fingers. I heard it scream in pain.
"You going to tell me who let you in?" I ask as the vampire spits his filthy blood on my shirt. In return I smack his face into the wall again.
"You want to see me?" Virgil says leaning in the doorway. " Yeah, I need to talk with you."
Virgil is my right hand man I trust him a lot more than the rest. It's not that the others aren't trustworthy. It's just Virgil is up for anything I ask him to do, and he does it without questioning me.
I give the vampire's head to Dean as I wrap my arms around Virgil's shoulder and leave the office. I need you to go pick up the shipment that's arriving in Italy next week. Make sure everything I paid for is there and to make sure it arrives here without any complications." I tell him.
Virgil nods his head, "Yeah, I can do that." he says as I smile, "Good." I give him a pat on the back. " So, how are things with Kristin?" I ask as I walk down the stairs and into my walk-in bar area. I grab two glasses and fill them both up with whiskey.
"It's pretty good actually. I know the plan was to use her to get close to Willow, but I think I might keep Kristin." He says with a smirk.
He takes the glass I offerand takes a drinks of the whiskey. " Well, that's good to hear. It's been a while since you dated." I tell him.
Virgil chuckles, "Yeah I know, but I was also surprised that you took an interest in Willow so quickly. You only had a short interaction with her at the diner." He says.
I down my whiskey, "What can I say? I saw something I like and I want it." I tell Virgil.
I glance up at Dean as he comes walking down the stairs, " he filthy vamp told you anything?" I asked him. Dean shakes his head, " No, just said he didn't know who it was. That his boss told him where to sneak in at, but not who is behind it. Since he is no longer of any use, I have the guards building a bonfire." He says taking a seat in a chair.
"Good." I tell him as I refill my glass. "You, go clean the blood out of my office. I don't want to see a drop or smell it." I tell a maid who is dusting the pictures hanging on the wall. She doesn't say anything. She just nods and takes off upstairs to my office.
"So what do we tell Jake about me switching with Boyd?" Dean ask as he squirrels his switchblade in his right hand. "I will handle Jake. You just do what I tell you."
Jake is a good man and he is one of the most dangerous and feared assassins working for me. But after his father died, he wanted to take over his diner. I told him he could do both, but he wanted out. I granted his request under the condition that he let me use his diner for meeting with other demon clans as needed.
"I got to head out. Kristin is starting to blow up my phone with text messages." Virgil says as he finishes his glass of whiskey.
I laugh, "You must really like her. " I tell him as he laughs, " I do like her, but I also want to get laid." Virgil says before he transports away.
"What about you boss? When are you going to bring Willow here?" Dean ask me. I smirk, "I will bring her here soon. If she's pregnant or continues to be in danger, she will be here a lot sooner than expected. So make sure what happened tonight doesn't happen again." I tell Dean. He nods, "Got it boss." He says as I pat him on the shoulder.
"Make sure you get some rest." I tell him as I head upstairs to my bed room.
I take my shirt and pants off tossing them into the laundry basket full of dirty clothes. I need to get a maid to do my laundry at some point. Now standing in my boxer I turn the light off and lay in bed. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day.
....
The next morning I was standing outside in the middle of an empty field staring down at four dead humans. Each of the humans have teeth marks all over them and look like they got mauled by a wild animal with blood all over them.
"Maybe we have wolves?" Alex says staring at the dead humans. "No, the scent coming off of them tells me. We are looking a demon fox. It either slipped in the same way the vampires did or it managed to sneak in a different way." I say as I sip on my coffee.
"Get this mess cleaned up and get rid of the bodies. Last thing I need is for this to end up on the news causing a panic in town." I say as Alex nods and motion for the guards to help him move the bodies.
Pulling out my phone, I send a text telliong Virgil the situation. Then I walking back to my car and drive to the warehouse.
Pulling into the parking lot of my warehouse, I notice a lot of my men hanging around outside. "Why is everyone standing around?" I ask with my window rolled down.
"The doors won't open. We've been trying to get in with a crowbar but the door is sealed shut."
Seriously, today has just been a shit morning. I get out of my car and slam the door shut as everyone moves out of my way. As I storm my way through the crowd of man,I get to the front door, I touch it and feel the heat and electricity going through the palm of my hand.
I see no wonder they can't get it.
There is a barrier in the way.
What dumbass would hide out in my warehouse?
I let my aura rise up to the surface and I punch the barrier. I watch as the barrier becomes visible exposing it's light pink color as it sends electricity through my body. It electrifies me and tries to push me back. I let out a laugh as I punch the barrier once again and watch the barrier shatter into pieces.
Opening the doors to the warehouse house, the first thing I smell is blood. I turn the lights on to see the floor covered in blood. Along with bloody drag marks leading to the back. I follow it to find the demon fox eating one of the guard dogs.
The fox's long red hair cover its face. It's not until it looks at me that I realize it's a woman. She slowly stands up and licks her lips. Her dark red eyes pierces into mine. I watch as her ears twitch and her tail sways behind her.
