Chapter three: Home.

After we finished our shopping spree I dressed Mila in a yellow sundress that she has chosen, she gave me a big smile and a hug.

"Say thank you Mila" I coach her.

"Tank you" she even sounds adorable.

My mother was still mad that I won't let her enroll my Neko in tons of unnecessary classes, I don't want her to learn how to crusty or the correct way to speak to royals. It's the childhood I had, nobody read me stories I had to read dragon history. I'm not letting Mila go through that she's my little girl and I want her to be happy now and always. Also, my mother is objecting to Mila's name, she's trying to talk me into naming her Emmaline meaning "peaceful home" and I can still call her Mila in private. I also refused I want her to have a simple name, she's mine after all not my mother version of an aristocrat daughter.

"Mother how about I invite you to lunch before we part ways," I say trying to be polite but having enough from my mother disapproving, she should have bought herself a Neko, not to me, and then try and interfere.

"No thank you I'll be going home, bye Ethan," she says mad and turns on her heel to leave, I let her go knowing she'll call me in the morning she can't stay mad at me.

I turn toward Mila who's playing with the hem of her dress, twirling around making it move. It's time that I take her to our new home and have a talk with her. I lift her up and she put her head on my shoulder happy to be off her feet, shopping must have exhausted her.

The Neko company is hidden in pure sight, the magic around the building stop any human from walking in. I text Nicholas that I'm done and wait for my car to show up, he parks the car directly in front of the building and I get in quickly before anyone can notice Mila tail or ear. My car windows are all blacked out so no one can see the inside. I set Mila next to me and she gets busy looking out of the window, I need to get her a car seat.

I sit her down and buckle her in and she starts crying, I'm setting her in the middle and she lost her window view.

The poor thing never saw the outside world no wonder she's curious.

"Shh Mila. It's not safe for you to stay at the window. When we get there I'll take you for a walk" I tell her but she keeps crying, I let her cry after a few minutes she exhausts herself enough to fall asleep.

"She's going to give you some hard time you know" Nicholas taunt me, we're best friends, he's also my only friend.

"Thanks, nick. You knew about this didn't you" I ask and he starts laughing.

"Ohh did I know? Her majesty wanted to place an order as she saw fit but I talked her into making you take the personality test. So you owe me one" he says with a smirk.

"Fine. jerk"

"Tsk Tsk your majesty better watch your mouth around the littles" again he taunts me, good thing we're friends, no one dares to talk to me like that.

The school was in a gated community, there's the school, dormitory, few shops, public parks, and few private homes the whole thing is surrounded by forest since most species like to stay close to nature. It was completely safe to change into whatever your second form is since the whole place is surrounded by magic barriers.

Once we get to school we park the car and get out, Mila still sleeping so I carry her inside she needs the nap. Our dorm is on the top floor, we have the whole floor for us. There's a master bedroom with an adjacent room for Mila and a bathroom, a second bedroom for Nicholas, and a third for guests. There's also an office for me, a playroom for Mila, a small kitchen, living room with a giant TV and video games set this was Nicholas's idea since we were never allowed to play back home.

I set Mila on my bed and take off her shoes, her diaper is wet but I don't want to wake her up yet. We go back to the car and get everything, with nick help we finish arranging everything quickly and I make a list of things I'm going to order online.

Just on time, Mila starts crying announcing she's awake, I go pick her up and change her diaper she kept crying and fighting the whole time. After I was done it was time for rules and borders.

"Mila can you be a good girl and listen to me please," I say after I set her on the sofa next to me. She nods her head yes.

"Okay baby I'm going to tell you what's okay to do and what's not. I'm setting the rules you understand" I ask speaking slowly again she nods her head yes.

"First thing little girl you call me daddy. Can you say it to me? Daddy" I ask and she nods

"Daadddyyy" she squeals happily

"Inside voices sweetie, we don't scream when we talk"

"Daddy," she says in a lower voice.

"Good job Mila" I praise her and she blushes.

"You always call me daddy.

You do what I say, I don't want you to get hurt. Daddy knows best.

Bedtime for little girls is nine pm.

Don't yell or cry if you want something ask politely.

No means no, don't throw a tantrum or you'll get punished.

You understand?"

I kept her rules simple I can add them as I go, but those are the only ones I could think of for now.

She points to Nicholas and looks back at me, asking who's he.

"That's your uncle nick. He'll take care of you if I'm busy, so you do what he says too got it?" again she nods.

She gets up and goes to nick she smiles and hugs him. My little angel.
