CHAPTER 6
Archer
My gaze travelled up and saw Hera holding the girl I brought here at gunpoint. That girl really took my temper.
“Hera, let her go, i brought her here.” She shot me one last glare before releasing her, but that didn't end there. She grabbed her by the elbow and descended the stairs.
She gave her a firm push, making her stagger and fall on her knees. “What the fuck Archer, why would you bring a hooker to the house, the guest house is there for a reason.” She said in an annoyed tone.
Hera is my little sister, but she doesn't act like her age at all. That's because in this family we don't act weak.
“You don't tell me how to run my house.” Her face twisted into a frown. “Ric, did you know about this?” He didn't answer, which made her know that he did know.
Hera has never been a weak kid, and I'm glad for that because she can look after herself well. She doesn't trust anyone, so because of that she has no friends.
That's because she was once betrayed, well, we were all betrayed. Ever since then, we never trusted any soul again.
“Archer, why is she here? Even if she's your hooker why is she sneaking around like some fucking rat?”
“She's my property.” I said blankly while waving my hand to my men. They immediately came over and carried the dead bodies that were lying around.
I suspected that this maid was a spy, but I just wanted to play around with her, and I had fun.
One thing I always enjoyed before ending a life was the look they'd give me, that pleading look, begging me to spare their pathetic lives.
It was what always drove me to kill more, I loved that look so much. Apologies didn't move me one bit, it just made me more eager to end them.
My gaze moved to the girl on the floor, she was trembling, her hair was all over her face and her head was down.
“What? Your property? What does that mean?”
“Volkov stole 70 million from me, then he went ahead and bought her for 50 million. I would've killed her, but she costs way too much, so I'll just keep her around until I figure out what to do with her.”
“Archer, are you crazy? You brought a stranger to our house without checking her background? What if she's a spy like this fucking snake you just killed.”
“If she is, I'll kill her myself.”
“But this is still–” “Are you questioning my authority?” She suddenly went mute.
“No, but–”
“End of discussion, you can leave.” She huffed before stomping away.
“Ric, clean up this mess.” I walked closer to the trembling girl and yanked her up by her elbow and dragged her away. She didn't try to fight me off, which was a very good choice.
I pushed her inside her room and she staggered but didn't lose her balance. “Eyes up here.” I commanded, but she ignored me. She kept on staring at her feet.
“Eyes up here!” I said firmly this time and she slowly looked up at me. Her honey brown eyes were filled with tears. She immediately wiped them off with the back of her hand.
“Didn't Ric warn you not to wander around?”
“Yes–he did.”
“And you disobeyed, do you know what I do to people who disobey me?”
Her eyes suddenly widened and she walked closer to me.
“I–I'm sorry, I was foolish. I don't know what was going through my head–I couldn't sleep–and I– please don't kill me.”
She thinks I want to kill her? That's funny, but that is the impression I've painted in her head. I'm a killer, nothing more nothing less.
I tilted my head to the side as I stared at her scared expression. She is so funny, she nearly ended her life hours ago and now she's begging me to spare her life. Pick a side woman.
I took short steps towards her and she started backing away until she hit the wall. “I won't kill you, you pretty little thing. I think I'm getting an idea of what I'll use you for.”
The look in her eyes suddenly changed. “Don't call me that.” She suddenly blurted out.
“Call you what?”
“I'm not a thing.” Well that was a turn, she's not that cowardly I think.
“You are, you are my thing.”
Her brows knitted as she looked into my eyes. “I am not your thing, I am not anybody's thing.”
“Well, not anymore, because you belong to me now.”
“Are you serious? Calling me a thing, how would you feel if someone called your family member a thing?”
“None of my family members will ever be in your situation because they're not weak. You are weak, that is why you're in this situation.”
“So what? What do you plan on doing with me?” She said in an annoyed tone, and I don't know why but I liked it. Even though i always wanted my women submissive and quiet
“Lose that tone with me, and don't fucking talk back at me.”
“That's how a conversation works genius.” She said sarcastically.
My eyes narrowed at her and she flinched when she realised what she just did.
“This is your last strike, the next time you disobey me again, I will punish you.” This time she didn't talk back. I walked out of her room after that and headed to my room to change.
I was reeking of blood and not just anyone's blood, a fucking traitor's blood. I took a long cold shower to get rid of the smell. I wrapped a towel below my torso and walked out of my bathroom.
“Hey Archer.” My eyes moved to the girl lying on my bed and my face creased.
