Chapter 13

Sebastian's POV

Three Days Later

I watched as my father walked around his bedroom with his hands behind his back and his head held heavenwards. He, then, stopped and turned towards me.

"There are rumors circulating that you may be involved with another woman."

"And I can assure you that those are just what you said there are— rumors."

"Oh, they better be just rumors Sebastian because if you bring this kingdom any shame of any sort, you won't hear the end of it!"

I heaved a sigh and rubbed my temples as the times spent with Emily came flooding back like a broken pipe, including the night we had together in my bedroom.

"Sebastian! Have you heard me?" my father's voice snapped away the memories.

"Huh?"

"Have you been to your fitting already? It's tradition to wear a suit with your medals and the color of the country's flag!"

"I'll get to it right now." I peeled myself off the chair.

I walked out the bedroom and entered into the halls, and once there, I just had to run into Princess Naomi.

"Hi," she greeted shortly and walked past me to my surprise; she didn't stop to make conversation as she always wanted to do.

With a confused heart and head, I walked into the fitting room.

Emily's POV

I walked to the balcony again, overlooking the ocean. I loved doing so when I had a lot on my mind and was not willing to talk to anyone about it. The calm, cold breeze hit against my skin and, for a strange reason, I was enjoying it.

"What should I actually do?" I asked myself. I didn't know if I should continue to pursue the man I had always loved, or if I should just leave him be so he could fulfill his duties to his father and his country. "You're being selfish, Emily. You can't do this."

The telephone rang and I went back indoors to retrieve it.

"Miss Hollen, there's a guest here to see you in the lobby," the receptionist spoke.

"Thank you, I'll be right down." I hung up and made a beeline for the door.

I wasn't expecting Sebastian to pop up in my hotel so soon, especially with his wedding approaching in a matter of days.

He should know better than to show up here.

I got out of the elevator and walked into the lobby, scanning my eyes for him, but he was no where in sight. The only person present was a woman with her legs crossed, arms folded and a pink hat covering half of her face, but the smirk on her lips was visible.

She stood up and walked towards me. "So, you're Emily Hollen."

She tilted her face upwards, as I stood about three inches taller than her, and it was that very moment, I knew who she was because I had seen her before.

"And you're Princess Naomi," I replied with rattled thoughts flowing through my mind.

What the hell is she doing here and what does she want?
