Chapter 2

Grace

I was writing down the order of an elderly couple when the bell rings singnaling someone has entered the cafe. I looked up and my eyes met with the gray orbs staring right back at me. It was the same guy i bumped into this morning! Omg is he going to yell at me for what happened in morning? But i already apologized to him. I shook my head and came out of my thoughts.

Come on Grace don't be afraid! Let's go and get his order done.

I started to walk towards him but ashley my co-worker beat me to it she hastily went towards him to write down his order and i felt instant relief! I won't have to go to take his order or serve him! thank god. You saved me. Yayyy.

Just when i was about to go into the kitchen when i heard a bang. I turned around to see Ashely running away from him and coming towards me. I looked up at her in confusion. She had a scowl on her face and told me that he asked me to take his order. I looked at him and my face paled. He looks scary and angry.I gulped and took small steps towards him.

Once i was in front of him. I smiled lightly snd said "hi my name is Grace and iam going to be your server for today. What do you want to have, sir?"

He looked at me and cleared his throat and replied with a beautiful smile on his face. "What would you suggest, sweetheart?"

My face burned red when he called me sweetheart but i chose to ignore it and replied "i would suggest you to have our bestseller pancake and cappuccino and if you have sweet tooth you can definitely try out our brownies.

"Do you have sweet tooth, love?"

I nodded my head yes and he grinned. He said he'll have 1 brownie and a black coffee without sugar.

I wrote down his order and turned around to leave but he hold my wrist in his large hands.

I looked at him in confusion but he ignored me and called out ashley.

She came toward us hesitantly and slowly. He told me to hand over the order to her. I didn't understand what he was trying to do but i did as he said and then he told Ashely to grab his order fast. She sprinted away.

He turned his attention to me and told me to "sit down with me darling" i looked at him in shocked. What is he saying?

"What? Why?" I asked

" Because i want to get to know you" he replied.

I was still in a daze and didn't respond so he pulled me in and make me sit on his lap.

I came out of my daze and tried to push him away but his hold got strong on my waist.

Somehow i managed to push him off and stand up.

He looks pissed off. Oh! But I'm pissed off too.

By now everyone in the cafe is looking at us. Many people looked scared of him. He was seething in anger and i was glaring at him.

"Grace sit down" he said in a very calming manner.

But i know very well it was calm of before the storm. I nodded my head in no and said "sir we can't sit with our customers. It's against our rules and policies." I said trying to decline him politely.

" Does it look like i give a fuck about this bullshit policy? Sit down right now grace, don't fucking test my patience" he shouted in anger.

I was horrified by now and i was shaking in fear when james came and hugged me from side, james tried to say something but before that he landed down in the floor. That scary man punched him in the jaw! He continues to beat him mercilessly. I tried to get him off of james but he didn't even budge.

After beating him into half unconsciousness he got up, when i tried to go towards james he hold my hand in his death grip and made me sit on the chair. I was crying by now, Just then the owner of the cafe Mr Carson came and asked what's happening but then he looked towards that scary man and started to sweat.

He came towards us and asked him " sir what happened here? Did this asshole gave you any trouble?" He said pointing at james. And i was shocked to hear what he said. How can he call him an asshole? When it's this scary guy's fault.

I am super pissed right now. That bastard he thought he could hug my girl right in front of my eyes! And Grace she hugged him back damnit. That was it. That was the last straw of my patience. I'm going to kill this fucker right now. I beat him into unconsciousness. I didn't want to kill him in front of my love. She would hate me for this. I have to plan everything smoothly! I have to make her fall in love with me. So i left him punching him one last time in his face. I wiped my hands from my handkerchief and threw it away.

I saw grace going towards that bastard and it made my blood boil. I gripped her hand tightly and made her sit in front of me and told her " don't you dare to touch any other guy again or i will kill them in the most painful manner"

She started to cry by hearing that and i sighed. I don't want to make her feel upset. I just want to let her know that she's mine and she can only touch me and nobody else. She has to understand this the early she understands this it will be better for her.

As i was going to console her the owner of the cafe comes around he looked at me with fear in his eyes and i smirked. Good that's what i like to see. Fear in people's eyes for me.

He came forward and ask me if that asshole gave me any trouble and by hearing that my babygirl gasped probably in anger.

I looked at that fucker and said "yes he tried to fucking touch what's mine. Fire him now and kick him out of the cafe. I don't ever want to see him again in here, understand?" The owner nodded his head yes and told security guards to take him out of here.

Just when they were going to take him out my baby started to weep more and said "please atleast take him to the hospital" hearing this i become more angry and told her to shut up but she didn't listened and kept pleading me "please he has a family to take care of. Please atleast get him to the hospital"

I sighed and looked at her she was crying very badly now i didn't want her to be upset so i told the guards to take that fucker to the hospital and wiped her tears. I fucking hate it when she cries.
