Ariana continues eating her food as everybody muttered their opinions.

Ariana couldn't eat anymore due to the stares she was getting so she stood up with her tray.

"Woah, slow down cutie". Chad the most brutal and mean boy at school said. Ariana tried passing but was waylaid.

" Just what the fuck do you want from me?". Ariana yelled with frustration.

"trying to settle some things here". He replied. Did he change or what, he's being too calm.

"See that's the problem, you always ignore me . WHY!". I asked with infuriation.

"Look, Kayden I'm not ignoring you, I'm just not cut out for your crowdy party". Jayden said trying to calm his brother down.

" or you're afraid you would do something drastic, come off it man. You loved parties and you always make them lit". I said trying to talk some sense.

"I'm sorry but I just can't". He said and started going through some files.

" Is it because of Nicole? ". I asked knowing well that I just pushed him to the wall.

having no strength to argue or piss anyone off I just left. I walked to the park and saw Jack and Jill arguing. "Argh, that's what they do always".

"how about we go to a club or we just get some bitches and go separate ways". Jack suggested with eyes gleaming with pleasure.

"Or we could just go sleep at home". I said as I walked towards my car with jack behind.

" common man, it's been a long I got a bitch and that demon won't let me bring anyone home without snitching up on me". Jack pleaded.

"Fine let's head to the club first". I consented as we both got into the car and drove out of the school without any difficulties since the security knows about Jayden's position.

Turning on the music, We both nodded and drove roughly to the closest club and parked the car. From afar we could see a few bitches standing outside but it wasn't crowded since it was still daytime.

We both bounced into the club and mingled with the little crowd as Jack left with a busty blonde girl.

I searched around for my spec but none is appealing. Two girls came to sit beside me as they both tried to start conversations with me.

" Hi, I'm Valerie ". The red hair one said. " I'm Rita". The blonde said with a blush.

Having no option I had to talk to them as they both displayed signals of being available. After one long hour, they both got frustrated and left fuming.

Jack walked back with a large smile as he laughed making me confused. "What's funny?". I asked.

" dude doesn't tell me you were here since?". He asked trying to control his laughter. "I was so? What's funny?". I said.

"Dude, what's wrong, nothing's wrong with your libido right?". He asked looking at me closely.

"Look I told you, I just want to get some sleep". I complained about a yawn.

" Okay let's leave". He said as we both left. we were about to enter the car when someone dragged me aside.

''what's the problem". I asked when I recognized who it was. " I need you to get me admitted into the school". He replied.

"Why do you need an admission, shouldn't you be busy gathering the army or trying to find the demon?". I asked.

"it's not easy, I need to get admitted so I would try to track the demon at the school and if I don't find any then I would leave". He explained.

"This place isn't saved, let's meet where else later". I said then left to see jack looking around for me with a confused face.

" where were you?". He asked immediately.

"I just had to check something". I replied then opened the door of my Ferrari.

" So where are we going to now ?". He questioned. "To the house of course". I said as I wheeled my car out of the club.

Getting home we were both surprised to see Ella standing outside with an angry look.

"where have you been?". Ella asked with rage. "I had something to take care of, so I left school early". I blurted.

" you promised me a date!". She said as she walked inside.

"Dude she's not happy, thank goodness I have no annoying girlfriend". Jack mocked as he walked inside. " so Ella, how's the arrangement". Jack asked cautiously.

"Oh everything is going great, I plan on inviting the eighth graders". Ella boasted as she checked her nails.

I went to my room and changed it into a knicker and light silk top then went to the parlour where I met Ella shouting at the maid and Jack trying to control his laughter . " what's wrong". I asked not amused.

"this maid of yours isn't well trained, how could she bring bottled water without a cup". Ella fumed . " is that all?". I asked.

"and see clumsy, it took her minutes to bring just one bottle ". Ella ranted as I sighed d in frustration. Having Ella in my house isn't always a good idea.

" Ella just let it go". I said as I hugged her. Jack just continued trying to suppress his laughter as I glared at him.

With Ella here, there's nothing I would want to do coz she's always poke nosing. "I have to leave now, see you later". Jack said before patting me and left.

I knew he wasn't ready to go, Ella was the reason why he left and now I'm stuck with all her nagging and bullshit about her jealous rivals.

I took a bus to the house from school and when I mean house I mean where my father leaves.

I walked slowly and hummed to myself cheerfully.

Getting inside I saw some men in black with angry faces and it wasn't long before I knew they were the loan sharks.

Looking at the room for dad I saw him laying on the floor holding his stomach with his face having bruises.

With a scream, I bent down and held his head crying as the men were trying to throw all the belongings left in the building out.

"please I would pay you back please don't take anything". I pleaded with tears but my pleas fell on deaf ears.

''You have a few minutes to evacuate this building ". A man that seemed like their boss said.

"please if I paid little now could you please let us stay for some time". I begged as I held onto his leg.

Not being able to release my grip on his leg he resorted to looking at me.

"How much do you wanna play?". He asked with a face I knew meant if I don't mention a reasonable amount I might get beaten up.

" please that this 50 thousand dollar it's all I've got for now". I said and hurriedly brought the money out of my pocket.

"Your father's money has escalated to $85 thousand, if we come back next time and you don't pay, it'll be hell for you both". The man said and gave me the scariest look ever before motioning to his boys and they left.

With tears, I checked my father's bruised face and wept as the pain hit me. My father looked frail and thin, gone was his bright face of his.

Now he had a dark circle around his eyes and a few fading marks on his cheek.

Leaving the house wasn't a good idea but there's nothing I can do now not after being paid my salary for the month I haven't worked for.

I stood up and rushed to the pharmacist where I got first aid equipment and painkillers.

I also went to a food stall where I got potatoes and a few veggies with eggs.

I rushed inside and kept the foodstuff foodstuffs then dragged my father who was lying half-conscious to the chair.

I used the cotton wool to clean the bruises and added spirit getting groans of pain occasionally as I cleaned his wounds.

I entered the kitchen and made boiled potatoes and egg sauce with vegetable salad.

After I made lunch I urged him to eat as he groaned in pain.

"Where have you been, I've been worried sick looking for you, your mother left me and now you've left me too". Dad said as he started crying making my heartache.

It's not like I enjoy leaving Dad alone but I had to leave, if I didn't we would end up living in the streets.

" I'm so sorry dad, I never intended to". I said with tears covering my eyes.

"Come back home, Dad would get a job and pay for all the bills I promise". Dad said making my tears increase.

" Dad I have a job now and the pay is great, you do not have to worry about anything now". I said trying to cheer him up.

"The pay is great but I won't see you, dear ". He said as he coughed violently.

After taking a sip of water he continued eating while I went outside to carry all the things that were thrown outside.

With tears and pain, I packed everything inside. Dad had finished the food when I came inside, I took the plate to the sink and watched it immediately.

"Dad I have to go, I'll come to visit you during the weekends". I said as dad's face fell and he burst into tears.

"If only I hadn't started drinking, this wouldn't be happening to you". He said blaming himself.

" don't blame yourself, dad". I comforted and pickup packed the bag, I took out $10 thousand and handed it over to dad.

"Please dad don't use it for drinking or gambling ". I pleaded desperately while dad nodded. I left the house sluggishly with a heavy heart and went to the bus stop.

Getting to Jayden's house I hadn't even gotten to my room when I heard his voice. " where the fuck have you been?.

"Aren't you supposed to make lunch before traipsing away?". He asked with anger. "I'm so sorry, I went to visit my father". I explained.

" visit him in your spare time not my lunchtime". He replied. "Make something light ". He muttered before going back to his room. 

I dropped my bag pack on the bed and went inside the bathroom to wash my face. I made vegetable salad and beef then served it in the dining.

I walked to his room and knocked then told him I was done before going to my room.

Jayden came out of his room and went to the dining where he hungrily devoured the food. Not having breakfast must have emptied his stomach.

After eating he sat on a couch and switched on the television and remembered that he doesn't have her contact. with a loud shout, he called Ariana.

after a few minutes, she came down looking downcast and sad as ever. " damn !! Does she ever have happy moments"? He thought as he looked at her.

"I do not have your number ". He said as she looked at him with confusion. " I do..don't understand". She said.

"Anytime you go missing, I need to call you to inform you that you have a job ". He said sarcastically.

" I don't have any". She said knocking the breath out of him. With surprise, he looked at her and couldn't help but feel pity for her.

With a nod of his head dismissed her and checked different channels making a mental note to get one for her.

Damn, why did he care anyway? anyways a maid and he's supposed to make life a living hell for her rather than feel pity.

With a groan, he went inside and changed into a swim trunk and went to the backyard where a long swimming pool was. It wasn't very deep but it was large enough for fifty people.

Letting go of his thoughts and worries, he walked inside the swimming pool and seemed a few lapses before resting his head on the marble as he looked at the crystal clear blue water.
