Chapter Six.
Mirabelle's POV.
Five Years Later.
"Mummy, where is Daddy? I can't seem to see him anywhere."
The little girl next to me complained while pouting her lips. Her brown orbs scanned the crowded airport for her daddy.
She's my second child out of the triplets and also daddy's girl amongst them.
Sometimes, I couldn't help but wonder why girls are so close to their dads. Maybe because Dad makes them feel secure...?
"Be patient, Mika. Besides, we are not outside yet. Once we make it out, then I'm sure we will find Daddy," Mika's eldest brother, Skyler, reassured.
Skyler was the most mature amongst them and didn't give me a headache the way the 'Daddy's girl' did.
"Yayy! We are going to find Dad!" My third baby, my meatball Tyler, repeated Skyler's words over and over again, jumping around excitingly.
"Daddy!!!" They all beamed out immediately. They set eyes on their handsome Dad standing beside his luxurious Mercedes as he patiently waited for us at the parking lot.
My triplets ran into the welcoming arms of their Dad, hugging him tightly.
"We missed you so much, Daddy," They confessed in sync, showering his face with kisses.
My stern expression melted into a smile as I watched them share a heartfelt moment with Noah, their dad.
"I missed my babies too! Hehe," Noah chuckled, playfully roughened our boy's raven hair, and then pecked his little princess on her cheek.
"Mrs Mirabelle, I am so sorry for arriving late." My PA apologized once she got out of the cab, running up to me.
I walked straight into the Mercedes as the driver put our luggage into the boot.
"There was so much traffic on the way so I was unable to arrive early. I thought by getting here earlier, I would help you care for the kids..."
"It's fine. It's not your job to handle the kids. Your job is to be my PA, so keep to that," I said to her from the window as she stood outside.
"Yes, ma'am," Jamie bowed then suddenly sprung her head up like she remembered something important.
"Ma'am, there's a company that wants to cooperate with us. I don't know if I should add the company to the list of companies we'd work with because according to my findings... The company is about going bankrupt and I don't think it would do us any good if we agree to work with them."
"What company is that?"
"It's the Davies Company," Jamie blurted out.
Dang! Those rascals...
I tried to remain calm, but my fingers curled into a hard fist on their own accord, till my knuckles turned white.
Clenching my jaw, my worst memories flooded into my head like a movie, but I remained calm.
I felt the urge for vengeance from the last five years swirling within me again, to make them know that they can't mess with The Davies Heiress and go scot-free. It never happened before, and it won't start now.
I would take this as my perfect chance, opportunity, and timing to make them pay and regret ever messing with me!
Those bastards were busy ruining my father's company after stealing it away from me and still had the guts to want to cooperate with me?
Scoffs. Very ignorant fools. They could not even do simple research to know who they planned on cooperating with.
"Add them up. Also, send them an attendance invitation card. I'd love to see them at the opening party." A cunning smile curled up my lip as I relaxed backward on the headrest of my chair.
My PA can't help gazing at me like I was insane, and I won't deny it. I was insane, I've lost It over the years and learned how to be crafty, calculative, and strategic with the help of my husband.
Now, I returned to New York to take back everything they took from me and make them suffer horribly if I must.
Two Nights Later...
Standing around me were my business partners and other wealthy men in the country who came to me a few minutes ago to congratulate me on the branch opening of the M.S. Group In New York.
I aimed to stretch my company across different countries worldwide. I suggested my plans to Noah that we should build one here; even though I had a lot of bad memories in the country, he agreed to it without second thoughts.
He trusted my decisions so much that it became contagious and made me hardly have doubts about the steps I would take, whether now or in the future.
I didn't care how long it might take to grow this business in every part of the world, but I knew with the help and guidance of my husband, it would become a reality one day.
Once they dispersed, leaving me standing alone, I casually sipped on my wine as my gaze darted to the entrance of the hall, expecting those bastards who almost ruined me If Noah hadn't stepped into my life five years ago.
Not seeing them walk in, my gaze wandered around the crowded hall in search of them.
Perhaps they might have walked in while I was still discussing with my business partners a moment ago.
"Take a look at who we found! It's my unfaithful ex-wife who went around bedding her lovers while she was married to me five years ago!” A voice that I've never forgotten mocked me from behind.
