Chapter Two
Raphael
I walked into the real estate office, and everybody was shouting, it was so loud I couldn't hear myself think. I was about to walk out and cancel the appointment, but before I could, my eyes met the most mesmerizing blue eyes I have ever seen.
She had a long mane of red hair, and even if she was seated, I knew she was short. She stared right back at me. We stared a each other. It felt like we were the only people in that room, and then she looked away, but I saw her blush before she averted her eyes.
"You must be Mr. Boselli; welcome to our office," a woman said
"My name is Marissa, its a good to meet you. We spoke with one of your employees who said you could only be available for the showing on Monday. Would you like to sit down?"
" No, I would not, thank you, I want to see the house as soon as it can be arranged," I told her.
"Of course...Abby, I heard her call out," I saw a blond girl coming towards us, and I knew she was the agent who was going with us, and I couldn't have that. I wanted the girl with the blue eyes.
"This is Abby; she is going to show you the house."
"No, I want her," I said loudly to make sure everyone heard. I didn't know why I did that; even Bruno raised his eyebrows. He was probably thinking, " what the fuck?"
But he didn't question me.
"Sir, Sophie doesn't know where the house is located."
Sophie, that's a beautiful name, I thought before I spoke to Marissa.
"It's okay, you have the directions on the brochures, don't you? We'll find our way.
I didn't wait for her response. I looked at Sophie, but she just remained seated and stared at me, looking perplexed.
"We need to move; I don't have the whole day," I told her, and she still didn't move.
"Sophie, Marissa called; Mr. Boselli would like you to go show him the house. She still didn't move.
I looked at Bruno, and immediately he knew what I wanted.
"Miss, the boss, does not have the time for a staring competition; you need to get up," I heard Bruno say.
Sophie sprang up, picked up her small handbag, and came towards me. Bruno has a menacing glare; he tended to scare people. I knew the outcome when I silently ordered him to force her to move.
"Let's go," I said. She didn't say anything, but she gave me a nod. We walked out of the Office with me in the middle of my two men.
"You need to walk faster," I snapped at her.
" I am walking faster; I just don't happen to have long legs to keep up with you," She muttered under her breath, but I heard her.
I'm sure she didn't mean for me to hear it, but I did. I felt my lips twitch, this was going to be interesting, and I was going to have fun.
When we got to the parking lot, she stopped walking, "Hmm...Mr. Boselli," I stopped walking and turned around to look at her "
"Yes"
"My car is this way, but it only can fit two people."
"What makes you think we are going in your car?" I asked
"You're not?" She asks, staring at me suspiciously
" No, we are going in mine" she seems like she wanted to say more, but I didn't let her.
"I'm a busy man, miss; I don't have time to stand here and argue whose fucking car we are going to drive in" It's not your choice anyway! I was getting really agitated
She cringed, and I realized she was afraid of me. I didn't want her to be afraid of me.
I'm feared. People in my circle quiver at the mention of my name, but I didn't want this petite girl to be afraid of me.
What the fuck was happening to me, I live in a world where I didn't give a shit about anything or anyone, and I liked it that way. But she was having a very bad effect on me; I wanted her to like me.
What is your second name anyway?" I asked. I didn't know what else to say to her, and that was the only thing I could think of to make her lose the fear in her eyes.
"Harris," She said softly.
"We need to move, Miss Harris; I promise not to eat you and burn your bones.
She smiled at me, a small, beautiful smile.
" Okay," she said, and we walked to my car together.
