Chapter 2

Jacob's POV

"Why do we have to patrol again? We did this last week!"

"Dude I don't ask questions. I don't want my dad or Cameron to yell at me."

"This sucks. We have to freaking train after this too!"

"No we don't. My dad said we don't have training today."

"That's a first. Alpha Zander never gives us a break from training!"

"Try to not enjoy it too much. He might be in a bad mood later on. We still may have to run around the house."

"I hate running."

"Who doesn't? How is beta training going for you"

"Bro it's absolutely annoying."

"Sucks to be us then. Did you hear that? It sounded like a twig being stepped on."

Jacob's POV

*mind link from dad*

"Have you located anything?"

"Yes. I found a female rouge but she needs help"

"What do you mean she's needs help?"

"She looks like she hasn't eaten in months. She's all skin and bones. And she's a grey wolf. Isn't that what mom is? "

"Alright fine bring her to the pack house. I'll have your sisters make up a room for her. Wait you mentioned she's a grey wolf. That's impossible. They  got wiped out years ago. Your mother's the last one."

"Apparently not."

"When you get back meet me in my office."

"Yes Alpha."

I need to get her to come with me somehow. I'm a complete stranger and she's in my territory.

"Offer her food and shelter. She obviously ran away from her pack for a reason."

"Now Gray how am I supposed to do that?"

"Um erm."

And just like this she lost consciousness.

Oh crap.

"Dad she just lost consciousness. I need to take her to the doctor."

"Alright son. I'll let her know and I'll meet you there."

I carefully pick her up and begin to run to the ER to get her check out.

"DON'T TRIP MAN!"

"GRAYSON! I'M TUNING YOU OUT!"

"WAIT! DUDE DO YOU SMELL THAT!?"

"What?"

"THAT SMELL! ITS COMING FROM GABRIELLE! SHE'S MATE!"

Then it hit me her scent. She smells like roses it's faint  but no time to debate on scents now. I need to get her checked out now.

"DON'T YOU SEE J?!"

"First off stop yelling at you're giving me a headache and secondly can we discuss this later? We're almost at the doctor."

"Ugh fine."

I don't know how long later but finally I got Gabrielle to the doctor.

"Dad! Dr.Hart!"

"Now what's this emergency your father told me about?"

I showed him Gabby and explained to her and my father everything I knew.

"You're telling me that she's a grey wolf and she ran away from her pack?" Questioned Dr.Hart.

"And she's mate!"

And that's was strike I don't know for Grayson and I tuned him out.

"Did she say how long she'd been running for?"

"She said she lost track of time. All she knows is that she ran till she found shelter. Her name's Gabrielle Blue."

"Wait Blue?" My father gave me a puzzled look.

"Uh yeah. That's what she told me."

"I need to get your mother."

"Wait what why?"

"Don't worry about for right now. Just go fill in Dr.Hart in with the rest."

My dad ran out of the hospital and I did as he told me. I filled her in on everything I told my father about and apparently  time out is over for Grayson.

"NOW WHAT IF SOMETHING BAD HAPPENED AND YOU NEEDED TO SHIFT?! HMMM?"

"No time to bicker about how horrible I am for shutting you up. Did you hear anything dad said?"

"Yeah. I wasn't allowed to talk not hear

dumbo.HEY I FELT THAT EYE ROLL!"

I'm sitting in a chair outside the room while they worked on Gabrielle. Then my parents ran in through the doors. My mom has this frightened look on her.

"Are you sure she said her last name is Blue?"

"Erm um yes"

"Are you sure? Zander he doesn't sound sure."

I feel like I'm being interrogated by my own parents.

"Celestia calm down! If he's sure he's sure."

"Uhhh what am I sure about exactly?"

"You said that she's positive she's a grey wolf right? And she thinks she's the last?"

"Uh y-yes."

I'd like to crawl into a hole now...

"Well she's not . There's three left."

At this point in time I'm pretty sure I'm standing there with a confused look on my face.

"Who's the third?"

"Your sister Carolyn."

"My brain hurts. How do you know her?" Confused me asked.

"I was really close with Gabby's parents I grew up with her mother in that pack. When Rosaleen became Luna we managed to remain close.We did everything together. We ended being pregnant at the same time also."

"Her ring looked really familiar."

"I'm shocked you don't remember."

My mom reminisced on the her past with us and then I noticed that the scent of roses from earlier got stronger and this pull formed.

"Told ya she's mate dumbo."

"Shut up Gray."

My dad had to go outside for a second and mom mentioned something.

"J I wouldn't be shocked if she's your mate you know."

Oh my god does everyone around me know?!?!

I feel Grayson laughing at my embarrassment that little shit

"CEL WE NEED TO GO! JACOB STAY HERE LET US KNOW IF THERE'S ANY CHANGE!"

"Bye hon love you!"

"Love you too ma"

"BAHAHAAHA EVEN MOM KNOWS AHAHAAH!"

"You freaking mind linked her wolf didn't you?"

For once voluntary silence from him.

"OH COME ON MAN!! Not cool bro not cool.Fuckin dick."

"I thought it was hilarious"
