Chapter 5

Onyx's POV

For the past few weeks I have not felt like me at all. I was doing so well. To try to cope I resorted back to cutting. Instead of doing it on my foot I moved onto my right wrist. Destiny was the only one who noticed at first. Then my parents saw. I got sent back to the hospital for a month. I went to group, I took whatever they gave me,I slept on the uncomfortable beds, I talked to whoever I needed to, I called my family and Destiny whenever I was allowed to,I ate the food. You name it. I did it. My wrist was wrapped since I kept picking a cut. My roommate and I talked but not much. I mostly slept because they fucked up my medication and gave me one of my sleeping medications in the morning.

When I couldn't sleep I'd mindlink Destiny. This is the first time we've been apart for more than a few hours. My parents and siblings picked me up from the hospital and brought me home. I apologized to them first. Destiny wasn't there since she was in school. At home I put all my piercings back in and then took a long shower while my phone played music. I must've been in there for about two hours. All sharp and pointy objects and medication have been hidden from me. If I have to shave or do anything with a knife someone has to watch me. When I need to take something I have to ask for it. I'm not allowed to do anything school related until I'm better. So that might be awhile. I don't care since this is my last high school year. When I was done showering and I was dressed I sat down on my bed and just looked at my wrists.

Why did I do this again?

I never thought I'd go downhill again.

I'm scared to think about what would've happened if no one stopped me.

I'd probably be dead.

Or in a hospital room dying.

God I don't wanna even imagine the reaction of the person that found me.

I put my headphones on so I could listen to my music. I laid down on my bed and put my hands behind my head. I closed my eyes. The music wasn't loud enough so I wouldn't be able to hear. I had it at a low volume. It was so low I was able to hear knocking. I turned the music off and took off my headphones. I stood up and saw Destiny in the doorway. We started walking towards each other with our arms out. She jumped up and wrapped her arms around my neck.

"Please never do that to me again!"

"I am so fucking sorry Destiny!"

We both started crying.

"Why didn't you tell me you were hurting?!"

"I-I don't know."

"I really don't want to know the answer to this. I still feel like I should ask. If no one stopped you would I have lost you?"

I didn't answer.

"Baby no!"

We started holding each other tighter.

"I don't want to lose you that way. I don't want to lose you at all."

"I love you."

"I love you too."

"I'm so sorry I scared you."

"If I lost you then I would've died because of a broken heart."

I looked up and saw my mom.

"We're going out to eat. Do you want to come or are you okay here?"

"He's got me. He should be fine."

"Okay..Call if you need us and don't lock this door. Don't leave him alone."

"Okay."

"I don't wanna let go of you."

"Then don't."

After my family left we let go of each other. We wiped our tears away. She started kissing me. I heard something unzipping so I pulled back. She let her sweater fall to the floor.

"Is this lace? I've never seen you in lace. What are you doing to me?"

"I was trying to come up with a way to make you feel better."

"So you thought wearing a lace crop top would make me feel better?"

"I figured I'd give it a try. Was I wrong?"

"Hell no!"

"Phew! It's just a top by the way. It's a set."

She took her pants off. I scanned her body. This fits her hourglass figure perfectly.

"Ho-holy shit!"

"I was trying to get this in your favorite color but they didn't have anything green in my size so I went with red."

"I-I think I have a new favorite color."

"Oh do you now? It was this or pink and I'm not a fan of pink."

"Can you like wear lace more often? You look so fucking good in it."

"I do?"

"Yeah. Also red is DEFINITELY your color."

She pulled herself closer to me by using my shirt.I noticed her nails were red.

"You got your nails done too? Are you sure you didn't color coordinate your look?"

"I did. Only after I did this."

"Did you go to school like this?"

"No. After I got back I quickly changed and showered."

She slid her hands underneath my shirt.

"If you're trying to tease me then it's working."

"Am I? Am I really teasing you or am I giving you hints?"

"What happened to my innocent Destiny?"

"Tonight I don't wanna be her."

She started walking away.

"Stop teasing me!"

"I'm not! I'm writing a note to stick to your door!"

After she did that she closed the door again then walked back over to me.

"Why are your clothes still on? Let's go!"

She started jumping up and down.

"Happy now?"

"Mhm!"

I kept scanning her body.

"I-I'm in a conflict right now. I want you to take that off but at the same time I don't want you to."

"Then I'll keep the top on."

She literally threw me onto the bed. I used my elbows to pull me up the bed more.

I guess her wolf took control there for a second.

"Miss. Parker what are you doing to me?"

"Whatever you'll let me do."

"Go crazy."

She straddled me and started going crazy.

"You know I don't mind this version of you Destiny."

Ian: Something doesn't seem right. She's hiding something.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing. I'm okay."

"No you're not. Ian just told me you're hiding something."

I sat up.

"Onyx please..it's nothing.."

I felt something on her shoulder.

"Destiny what is this?! Did your dad find you?!"

"No..my-my cousin Major found a-a pure silver knife and slashed me."

"Why didn't I feel this?!"

"I blocked you out."

She took my hand and put it where she got cut.

"And you're okay? Cause if you're not then I'm gonna kill him."

"I-I'm okay. I was in the hospital for a few days. They gave me some medication to take for a few weeks. Once it heals it's getting covered."

"What would you get to cover it?"

"I'll get your wolf if you get mine."

"Okay. What else did he do?"

"He was drunk.."

"What. Did. He. Do?"

"He thought I was Joel and-"

She put her hands around her throat.

"He just started squeezing me. I thought he was going to break my windpipe. Can we not talk about this right now?"

"Okay."

I laid back down.

"I'm literally obsessed with how you look in this. You look good in everything but this-this is fucking amazing!"

"Well I'm glad you love it. Do you know if you'll go back to school?"

"I'm not allowed to go to school right now. I'll still pick you up and drive you if you want."

She grabbed my face and started kissing me again.

What am I smelling?

"What's wrong?"

"I smell something."

"I don't smell anything."

Her body got tense.

"Am I smelling him?"

"Who?"

"Am I smelling your cousin?"

"Reed? No. He's in New York right now."

"Not him. The other guy. Major."

The saddest look I've ever seen came across her face.

"There's one thing I have to tell you.. Please don't get mad at me.."

"What happened?"

I sat up again.

She started holding her stomach.

"No! No! No! Baby no!"

I started hugging her.

"How tall is he and how much does he weight?"

"5'5 and 170 pounds."

I got up and started getting dressed.

"Wh-what are you doing?"

"Making sure he doesn't hurt you again."

I started running.

"ONYX COME BACK!"

I opened the front door and saw him next door.

"HEY ASSHOLE!"

"You talking to me?"

"Yeah I'm fucking talking to you! What the fuck is your problem?!"

"What's my problem? Who the hell are you?"

"I'm the one you DON'T wanna fuck with!"

"Bro I don't even know you."

"Yeah but you know my damn mate!"

"Your mate?"

His eyes widened.

"O-oh shit! Yo-you're Onyx!"

"Yeah that's me!"

"I guess she told you.."

"She did. After I found the fucking cut on her shoulder!"

He put his arms in front of him.

"You're mad. And you have a reason to be mad."

"Besides slashing her shoulder and choking her what else did you do?!"

"Before you say anything. I was drunk. I didn't know what I was doing."

"Because that's makes everything MUCH better!"

"I-I'm really sorry! I spent a few days in jail."

I could hear his heart racing.

Ian: He's getting scared.

"Good! He should be!"

"I-I-"

"The next thing that comes out of your mouth better be what else happened! How did you make her lose the baby?!"

"I-I don't remember doing it but I stabbed her!"

"YOU DID WHAT?!"

"Please don't tell Reed! He scares me!"

"He's not the one you should be scared of right now! I just got out of the damn hospital and I'm supposed to be resting not dealing with a schmuck like you!"

I enlarged my nails.

"Oh god-you-your eyes!"

"Onyx stop!"

I felt my arm being pulled.

"Reed'll deal with him!"

"Let go of me."

I started growling.

"ONYX KNIGHT DAWN GET YOUR ASS BACK IN YOUR ROOM! REED WILL HANDLE THIS! HE ALREADY KNOWS!"

Destiny got in front of me.

"LOOK AT ME! YOUR EYES ARE RED AS HELL!"

"I'm pissed though!"

"I KNOW! YOU CAN EASILY KILL HIM! YOU'RE TALLER AND YOU WEIGHT MORE! YOU'LL CRUSH HIM!"

"Then let me crush him!"

"YOU ARE NOT A KILLER!"

She's right.

"BUT HE IS!"

What's going on with me?

"What's going on here?"

"Reed help me kill him!"

"REED HELP ME GET HIM INSIDE!"

"NO! HELP ME KILL HIM!"

Onyx you're not a fucking murderer!

Listen to her and GO INSIDE!

"GET INSIDE OR I'M NEVER BUYING ANYTHING WITH LACE AGAIN!"

I turned around and started running inside. Once I got inside I retracted my nails.

I need my anxiety pills!

I started going through the medicine cabinet in my bathroom.

FUCK!

THEY MOVED IT!

I looked at myself in the mirror and saw my eyes weren't red anymore. They were purple.

"What's going on?!"

I looked at Destiny.

"He-help.."

"What do you need help with?!"

I started holding my chest.

"Can't...breathe...."

"Shit! Are you having a panic attack?"

I nodded.

"Come here. Sit down and I'm calling your mom."

She took my hand and led me to my bed. I sat down and she stood in front of me. I put my head on her stomach and my arms around her waist. She put a hand on my head.

"Hey River? Where did you put all his medication?He's not okay. He's having a panic attack. I figured that's where it was. Okay thank you."

She put her phone down on the nightstand.

"Nyx? I'm gonna be right back. I won't even be five minutes."

She ran out of the room and then ran back in shortly after. I took my medication and started crying. I laid down on my back and covered my face with my hands. Destiny started holding me then I started holding her. She grabbed my phone and started playing music that we know calms me down. Then she started kissing me. I held her tighter than I've ever done before.

*Mindlink with Destiny*

"What happened? Is this because I said I wouldn't buy anything with lace again if you didn't go inside?"

"No! I thought about killing him! I've never done that before! I-I'm scared!"

"I know you're scared. I can sense it."

"I don't want to kill anyone! I don't get how people do it! My chest is so tight! I feel like I'm dying!"

"You're not dying. Does what you just take make you tired?"

"Sometimes."

"Every time I'm not with you and this happens call me. I don't care where you are. I'll get to you somehow. Sound good?"

"What if I'm far away from you? Like in a different state."

"Then call me. I'll stay on the phone with you until you calm down. Do we need to send you back?"

"NO! Please do not do that! I'm not gonna do anything! I swear!"

"Promise?"

"I promise."

"You better not break that promise."

"I'm going to go to sleep now. I'm tired."
