07.

Prince Nathaniel's POV.

I can't believe it. Kitanya's pregnant, with my child for almost three months, and never even talked to me.

"What are you planning to do with it?" I asked. I can't have her aborting my first child. I might not even be able to have anymore in the future. One of the most important things about a king is his heir. If this baby really is mine, this means it will be my heir.

What did I get myself into?

"I'm keeping my child," she spat venomously narrowing her eyes at me.

What the hell? Why is she behaving like this all of a sudden?

"That's good. But you don't have to be so savage about it," I spat back with my hold on her hand tightening.

"Yes, I have to. I behave any way I want to," she said loudly tugging at her arm but I only tightened my grip.

"I want the baby," I said truthfully after a sigh.

"You can't have this baby, Nathaniel. I will not have my child living without her mother and with another who does not love her as much as I do," she said still trying to get me to let go and I could hear the breaking in her voice proving that she wants to cry.

"What are you trying to say?" I asked her confused.

"I'm trying to say that my baby will not have a father because after I leave here I will not be coming back. You are getting married. I will not let my child be in your mix-up. I will keep my child with me, far away from your future family so that he won't be a future problem," she said sobbing every now and then.

"Nonsense. I want my child!" I shouted grabbing her other arm angrily. She better not test my patience. "And if you don't give it to me, I have no choice but to keep you here until my child is born," I said leaving no room for argument. she screeched in pure rage and anger.

She came into my face with anger steaming off her. "Let me see you try to take MY CHILD away from me!" she shouted angrily finally getting free from my hold, fixing her clothes, and walking out of the large bathroom quickly.

I followed her closely and stormed past my father who held me back so that she was gone. "What the hell father?! Let me go she's getting away!!"

"You are getting that baby, Son. I can't let people know that you have another heir out there with another princess," my father said shocking me.

He has been listening. This old creep! After you force me to propose to Maria you come telling me I'm gonna get my child either way? You're sickening.

"You don't understand father. I can't marry Maria because I don't love her and if I do marry her, I might never get my child. I want my child, father," I said calmly.

"And you will get your child. Just go to your fiance and I will sort things out with Queen Tiffany," he stormed off behind Kitanya.

Anger and rage boiled in me as I walked to Maria's room. I burst the door open and she looked at me shocked.

"Nathaniel what is-", she started but I stopped her.

"I will not marry you. The wedding is off," I said flatly.

"What?" she asked in horror taking over her features.

"I said there will be no wedding," and with that, I left not knowing where to go next. Well maybe to the stream behind the castle.

I always go there to think and right now that's exactly what I needed. Some time to think.

Kitanya's POV.

I stormed out of the castle to the garden behind it where I saw my mother speaking to a group of women. When her eyes met mine she ran to me desperately.

"Honey, what's wrong? What happened?" she asked as the rest of the women came up to me mumbling.

"Mom he wants my child. He's marrying Maria and he wants my child," I sobbed.

"Oh Darling," my mother hugged me.

"Ladies, please excuse me," my mother said leaving and pulling me along with her further into the large garden.

We sat at the water fountain in the center and my mom washed my face with the cold, clear water and it calmed me down a little. A little.

"Now Honey, tell me what happened," she ordered. I told her everything from him coming into the ballroom to where I was now.

"Oh, honey that's terrible. But you can't keep a king's child from him", my mom said. "His first child is the most important like you were to your father. All kings have enemies, Darling. So the king has to be involved in his child's life for the enemies will do what they have to harm that heir."

"But he wants my child. He's getting married and he wants my child," I cried. My mom smiled at me while running her hands through my golden hair soothingly.

"I don't think he's getting married to her again sweetheart," my mom assured me.

"Queen Tiffany," our heads snapped to King Harold who approached.

"Yes your Highness?" my mother said putting on her Queen act.

"May I have a word with you and your daughter?" he asked.

"Go on," my mother insisted sweetly.

"I think by now you would know that she is carrying the next heir of England?" he asked.

"Yes," my mom answered.

"Then you must know that it's dangerous for both of them to leave the kingdom, unprotected," he continued.

"Yes I do," my mom sighed holding her head down.

What? Don't do this mother.

"Please let her reconsider keeping the baby away from its father," he begged. "My Queen you know how important this is," he added.

My mother turn to me and sighed. "Honey, I'm sorry but you can't leave. You have to listen," my mother said and my heart broke.

"What?" I asked her.

"Darling you can't leave the baby's father when the father is a king," she explained. "Enemies will come after both you and the baby."

"But what happens when I have the baby?" I asked.

"Both you and the king must decide," King Harald said.

"Mom I want my baby. Mom I won't let them take my baby," I said getting from the fountain wall and taking off. Not knowing where I'm going.
