Chapter 8

Cassandra Lancio

"What took you so long?" I asked Marco and he pushed me aside. He and his man started to check the car and moved Hiroto to another car.

I sneezed big time since it was so cold and I wore a freaking short dress. I sighed and pulled out the small earpiece.

"We got them, yeah. Hiroto and Yurina in my hands." Marco said.

"We got a blackbox." One of Marco's men said and Marco gestured to him to bring it to him.

"Yeah, we're going back and talk to the two of them later on at night." Marco talked to someone through the phone and walked to his car. He gestured to me to follow him. He got into his car and I got inside too.

He took out his laptop and plugged the blackbox USB kind of thing. I opened my phone to check the notification. I leaned back to relax. I'm tired and need some sleep.

"So this is what you did?" He asked in a cold tone and I turned to him. I got up and looked at the laptop screen. It was me kissing Hiroto earlier.

"Yeah, so?" I asked and he looked at me with a really unreadable question. I leaned back to my seat and ignored Marco.

"So what did you do? A quickie?" I asked and he never answered. I ignored him too in the end.

Marco started his car and drove out from the place. He started to speed up making me a little bit nervous. I put the seatbelt on and put my seat straight.

"Why are you speeding? This is not America in case you forgot." I hissed and he ignored me. We didn't talk along the way until we got into the hotel. He got out and I followed him.

What's with him? Geez..

We got into the hotel room and he took something from his bag and walked out again. I looked at him weirdly and ignored him. I was freaking cold, I needed a hot bath. I started to fill the bath with hot water. I threw my heels and bag away. I put my phone in charge.

I walked back to the bathroom and stripped myself. I got into the bathtub and just enjoyed the hot water. I just stayed there for around 20 minutes and then got out. I wrapped myself with a towel and walked out.

Marco entered the room at the same time and he looked at me from head to toe. I ignored him and took my new set of clothes. I walked back to the bathroom and put on my comfortable clothes.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm resting, I'm not a robot." I said without looking at him. I got into the bed and I turned to Marco, he's already looking at me weirdly.

"What?" I asked and it's like he wanted to say something but he swallowed it again. He walked in to take something and then walked out again.

"Weirdo.." I rolled my eyes.

My eyes widened when a text message came in. I gulped nervously.

Patt :

Hey my beautiful Cassie, I see you're working with the 7 Gold Kids now. Do you forget that your parents are with me now? Bring Hiroto and Yurina back to me.

I got up from the bed and ran to the door. I opened the door at the same time as Marco. I gave him my phone and Marco looked and read the text.

"Good." He stated.

"What?"

"I said good, he knew."

"We're in trouble, you idiot!"

"No.. We're one step in front of them. Hikomoto's one and only key is Hiroto. Patt just knew about it since he didn't guard Hikomoto's kids earlier."

"He might go after us!"

"Of course, you're ready right?"

"I don't want to die, you idiot!" I hissed.

"You have skills.. Scared?" He laughed and I glared at him hard.

"You can shoot a gun, just like you shot me." He walked closer to me and I walked backwards.

"So what now? I have to go back to Patt and seduce him or sleep with him so I can be save?" I asked in a sarcastic tone. He pushed me aside and he threw his body to the bed.

"Marco!"

"You started this and you're the one who needs to end this." He hissed coldly. I got up and sat on his body. I held his collar tightly. He looked at me with a calm expression.

"I never started this! I'm a puppet! I just did what my master asked me to!" I bursted angrily at him. He just looked at me with an unreadable expression.

"It wasn't your business too! You butt into this causing you to get yourself into this mess!" I wanted to punch him so bad. He suddenly flipped me and leaned his face closer. He held both of my hands tightly making it hard to move.

"Never mess with my family, Cassandra. You mess with one of my family.. I'll ruin you. I don't mind killing you and your family at once. So keep that in mind.. touch one of my family.. You won't see the world again." He said coldly and looked into my eyes seriously.

"It's your fate to be his puppet and it's your fate to be like this." He added.

"So why did you want to help get what I should deserve? Did you even ever think that I will betray you someday?" I asked.

"Try to betray me.. I'll finish you along with them."

"Why don't you do it now? I'm tired already." I said as I shot my cold stare to him.

"Because I still want to use you in this." I scoffed when he said that. What's the difference between him and Patt? They both used me as their puppets.

"Fuck you, Marco!" I bursted angrily and he smirked. One of his hand trailed my thigh and stole my knife. I punched him hard until he fell to the floor. I stood up and looked at him angrily.

"One day, you'll regret taking me into this."
