chapter 7
Ducan's p.o.v
I sat on my throne patiently waiting for my so-called human bride to wake up . All the generals and advisers stood in silence with their gaze lowered to the ground. The only ones who were looking at me were the ancient witch and Ose.
He had a conflicted expression on his face that was readable. He was dying to know what had happened to the human girl, obviously because I was in my demon form and she was lying unconscious on the floor.
Back at the village I decided to be in my Demon form in order to instill fear in them, because the first time I went in my human form they got disrespectful and doubted who I really was.
But now I was in my demon form because I was pissed off. My hate towards the human race was only Intensified after what she had done.
I was going to marry her by force and have my way with her to gain power, whether she wanted it or not.
"Ah." She whispered in a low tone while she blinked a few times.
She moved her hand feeling the cold floor before fully opening her eyes.
When the ancient witch chuckled, she quickly sat upright and looked around with widened eyes.
"She's finally awake." The ancient witch said loudly then laughed out loud.
The girl quickly removed a small bottle from her breasts and forced herself on her feet.
One side of her face was badly swollen and below her nose was dry blood. The hit I had given her was too strong to handle, yet she survived.
I hated her but I couldn't help but be impressed by that.
"Stay back, you filthy demons." She spat as my generals murmured.
Everyone was in their demon form so hearing her say that came as disrespect.
I stood up from my throne and slowly approached her.
She quickly removed the lid from the bottle and extended her hand forward, standing in a fighting stance.
"Human bride, do you know that you are in the midst of the demon king?" The ancient witch asked seriously.
"I don't care." She spat.
I stood a few meters away from her and extended my hand.
"Bring it here." I ordered coldly because I could tell what was in that bottle.
It was holy water, just not the very purified one, but either way it would still have an effect on me when used.
"Over my dead body will I hand this over. Die you demon!" She screamed as she threw the water at me.
I flinched when it reached my skin, burning me slightly.
I angrily moved in a quick pace and lifted her in mid air by the neck.
I was furious and wanted nothing to do with her. Power or not she was going to die.
I watched with a smile, pleased at her struggle as she tried to push my grip from her neck.
Her eyes rolled up as she began fitting. The bottle fell from her hand and her arms soon fell too.
I watched with a smirk as her breath began to slow down.
"Ducan, you can't kill her. Remember you need her for your own life!" Ose screamed on top of his voice.
"Ancient wise one, talk to him. Please!" He pleaded as the mummers grew.
"Forgive me Great Maou, but the young general is right, you can't kill her." The eldest general said as everyone agreed.
I dropped my hand and watched her fall to the ground with a loud thud.
"She sure is one lucky human." I whispered then walked back to my throne and sat down.
"Ancient wise one please help her heal, as it is we are behind the wedding ceremony time." Ose said as everyone agreed.
She looked at him for a minute then walked to the girl chanting a few words. When she leaned in and pressed her hand on her neck the girl gasped loudly and coughed badly.
The ancient witch took a few steps back while still chanting those words.
The girl quickly stood up while coughing. Her eyes were filled with tears.
She looked around before looking at me seriously.
"Shall we try this again?" I asked calmly then pointed at the altar on my left side which was put there in preparation of my wedding.
"Go and stand there." I ordered.
She hesitated but moved and walked to where the altar was, standing there.
"Let's proceed." I ordered, then Stood up from my throne and went to the altar standing next to her.
The ancient witch joined us and began chanting a few words. I glanced at her for a second and noticed how she was putting her trembling hands together.
She was truly terrified and I liked it that way.
"Great Maou, the binding material." The ancient witch said.
She really saw a lot of things that were of this kingdom as well other kingdoms, sadly she couldn't foresee the future.
I raised my finger as the cloth appeared in front of me.
She grabbed it and continued with her chanting. She put it on the altar and grabbed a golden cup with a wide smile.
"Your hand Great Maou." She said in a respectful tone.
I moved my hand forward as she had asked.
She drew her claw on my palm making a cut.
I slightly moved my hand sideways and watched as the blood dripped Into the cup.
"It's enough." She whispered then moved the cup in front of the girl.
"Your hand, blessed maiden." She said seriously.
The girl looked at the side where the generals were before moving her trembling hand forward.
The ancient witch made a cut on her palm as she bit on her lower lip hard.
"Good." She whispered then grabbed her hand roughly and turned it sideways so her blood would drip into the cup.
Once she was satisfied with the amount of drops, she let go of her hand and raised the cup to her lips blowing in it.
She then raised the cup towards heaven and began chanting on top of her voice.
After a few minutes, she stopped then lowered the cup and poured the blood on the contract cloth as it sucked it in.
"Forever they live, forever they die." She muttered then put the cup on the cloth and carefully wrapped it around the cup.
"With this Great Maou, she is bound to you and you to her. She will never find a place to hide that you can't see because the blood flowing through her veins is now your own. Any harm that comes to you caused by her own hand will be reversed to her, that way she will never do anything to you. This binding as of today is sealed and the only way to unseal it is by the death of one of you." She said as the cup and cloth disappeared.
"Come forth." I whispered softly to my fairly demon servants.
The girl was about to move when two of my servants appeared on each of her side.
"Prepare her for tonight." I ordered and with that command they disappeared.
