Ooo oooo oooo...
I jump in my bed, frightened by the sound of my alarm clock. I hit it suddenly and the poor guy falls to the ground. I grunt and bend down to pick it up, luckily for me it's not broken.
I've been around this blue alarm clock for so many years... and I've never gotten used to its more than special ringtone.
I push back my covers to extricate myself from my best friend and step out of my cozy refuge.
Then I activate.
I go to take a shower, but, bad luck, she's already busy.
So I go downstairs to have my breakfast at a run and in a few seconds, I've got milk, bowl, cornflakes out.
Mechanically, I pour the milk into my bowl; and my cornflakes, in milk. Add to that a spoon and you're done!
I taste this porridge like every morning and when I hear my mother coming out of the bathroom, I leave my empty bowl on the table and rush into the shower.
The hot water wakes me up completely and I soap my body mechanically. Of course, I dry myself as soon as I'm done and get dressed.
Burgundy sweater, black pants, braid on the side, I'm done, all I need are my socks and my shoes.
I don't wear make-up, I even hate it, by putting it on, I know I'm not myself anymore, it's as if someone suddenly disfigured me. So, I ignore the sometimes malicious criticism and I live as I am.
I go down again in the dining room and meet my little sister, Jenna, whom I adore more than anything. She is only nine years old but she understands so many things! Each time, I am impressed.
Passing by her, I give her a hug and a quick kiss on the cheek before heading for the front door, my school bag on my shoulder. My father has already left for work, as usual, I rarely see him in the morning. But he compensates by coming home early or even dropping by during the day.
Before slamming the door, I shout a general "goodbye" and leave my home.
I then go to the high school in the small town where I live. This year, I am in first. I'm not going to lie to you, I'm a good student, very good student even. Unfortunately, this is what sometimes generates ridicule.
I stop in front of a house and wait for my best friend to come out, she doesn't delay and barely a minute later, she's in front of me, blowing a kiss. Elsa is really a person that I adore, she is always attentive, kind, and on top of that, she never judges.
Elsa and I met in middle school, we immediately hit it off when we first spoke.
We start to discuss the next April holidays and what we are going to do there, meanwhile, we arrive in front of the school and I find some of my friends.

Arriving in physics-chemistry class, I know in advance that something is wrong, indeed, the teacher does not try to stop the hubbub that reigns in the room.
I sit next to Elsa and the professor clears his throat before starting to rummage through his satchel. A few minutes later, he finally finds what he is looking for, he is now holding a big red envelope in his hand.
All the students are silent. They all recognized it, the letter which designates the omegas who will go to the Grande Réunion. It's true, this envelope is inimitable, it carries a bucket that is impossible to reproduce.
As for the Grande Réunion, it is an extremely important event that takes place every two years. It brings together all the Alphas, whether those of the Countries or those of the Continents. For two months, endless speeches take place, they often focus on the situation in the world, what needs to be improved, the possible problems... But what makes this meeting so special is the fact that its participants are drawn by lot, and precisely, the participants are rare. In our high school, only one or two people will be drawn. The presence of the greats of this world and being able to leave high school for almost two months makes it desirable to be taken. Also, this year, I understand that the meeting was taking place in New York.
The teacher opens the envelope with a slight crack as the bucket breaks and all the students hold their breaths, even the humans in our class who know they won't be caught listen intently. The teacher begins to read.
- "Omegas, this letter will designate you to accompany the Alpha du Pays to the Grande Réunion which takes place every two years. Drawn by lot, the participants will have to go to Nice airport on Monday March 20th. Everything is stipulated on the form given in the envelope and which will be given to the participants. These are the following:
-Gabriel Machvar
-Lou Koss
Designated Omegas, you will be absent from high school for two months. Thanks.
The organizers of the Reunion."
My heart misses a beat. Me? Am I designated to go to the Grande Réunion?
Everyone is staring at me and I'm starting to feel uncomfortable. Gabriel Machvar is a guy I know, he's a year older than me and in Terminale. I heard he was nice so I'm glad he's here. However, it is so unexpected that I am taken.
The professor approaches me and hands me a paper, I take it and briefly read what is written on it. Simply instructions.
I should be away from Monday, March 20. The Meeting will take place in New York and I will leave by plane with the other designated Omegas. We will leave at four o'clock in the morning and we will arrive around six-thirty in the morning in New York. The meeting will start the next day. Obviously, the sheet does not forget to mention that this meeting is mandatory.
I raise my hand to ask permission to leave and it's no surprise that he grants it to me. I send a nod to Elsa and leave the room and then the school.
Outside, I turn into a wolf in the creaking of my clothes. We wolves have the disadvantage of tearing our clothes when we transform. But here, I don't want to waste time and want at all costs to tell my parents that I'm taken. It really falls, but then really badly. The fact of having been drawn makes me even more sullen. Why me?
The white socks of my paws hit the soft forest floor, which is right next to my house. My gray coat and my white belly don't really make me unique in wolf form, but I'm pretty good, at least I have the advantage of keeping my green pupils in human form.
I turn into a human when I arrive in front of my house and enter my silent house. I grab the bathrobe still present at the entrance and wrap my naked body.
Then I call my parents, I'm surprised to see them both tumbling down the stairs. Guess they're surprised I'm home so early. I quickly explain the situation to them and I have the impression that they are rather happy, without jumping for joy either.
I look at them in turn, waiting for them to finally deign to say something. Finally, it is my mother who speaks first:
- "You will see, the Great Reunion is a place where you will learn a lot of things, you will make new friends and you will see the most important wolves of our society. I'm proud of you, me, at your age, I was looking forward to this event, but in the end I only went there when I was thirty-nine. You see how long I had to wait. You'll see, you'll have fun there, don't worry."
I'm not particularly worried but his words reassure me.
My dad nods and I smile weakly at him.
Then I go up to my room and scan it with my gaze, next week, I won't be there, I won't be back for two long months.
