Chapter 8
ALPHA DAMIEN'S POV
I was still dwelling in my thoughts, when a knock came in snapping me out of my thoughts, as I wondered who could be there again, because I remember telling Anna that I wasn't ready to eat yet.
The knock came in again, making me frown immediately. "Who is there?" I barked rudely, as I was already getting frustrated with the knock.
"It's me Mark, can I come in?" I heard Mark's voice from outside my chamber making me finally calm down.
"Oh, come in," I told him as the door finally cracked open as he walked in.
"I actually thought it was something else that I didn't want to say," I said immediately he entered, and he told me he understood, making me signed in relieved.
"So Alpha I guess you have gone to take today's report from the commander already right?" He asked me, while I just nodded my head, and started walking towards the couch in my bedroom.
I felt it wasn't really good for us to be standing while talking, we needed a seat, and I'm sure he isn't planning to go out anytime soon.
I finally had my seat, immediately I got to the couch, but he stood closer to me.
"Are you in a hurry?" I asked him, as I noticed he wasn't making any effort to sit down.
"No Alpha," he quickly responded, making me stare at him.
"Then why aren't you sitting down?" I asked him, and he told me because I didn't ask him to.
Mark was really a handful and sometimes I just wondered how we both met and he became my beta, but I just took a deep breath.
"Have you seat," I told Him, while he thanked me, and finally moved to the empty space where he finally sat down.
"Okay now tell me, what is bothering you?" I asked him, as I could totally tell he had someone in his mind that he would like to share with me.
"Alpha I was surprised to see a lady in the pack house, who is she?" He asked me, making me think for a while trying to figure out who he was talking about, and just then I realised it was actually Sarah he was talking about.
"Oh do you mean Sarah?" I asked him, and he nodded his head.
"She is someone I just helped out, realised she needed it," I told him, but he doesn't look pleased with it.
"Alpha she might be dangerous, or even have a mission here," he voiced out his concern, making me smile.
That's why I like Mark so much, he always looks up from the safety of the pack, and I really appreciate it.
"She is not a threat in any way, believe me, and she is too weak to be dangerous," I told him, while he stared at me with a questioning gaze, making me sighed softly as I got ready to explain to him.
"She is wolf less, and you and I know that a wolf less person can't be part of rogues, so she is not a threat in any way," I told him, while he finally sighed softly.
"Okay that's better then, because I really don't want anything that would put this Pack in danger, but since you have explained to me, and I trust your judgement, so I can finally be at peace," he said, while I smiled immediately.
"Anyway, how was your trip to the red moon pack?" I asked him, and he sighs softly, and looks up at me.
"Alpha it was fine," he said, making me ask if he gets to meet the warlocks he had gone to see.
"Yes Alpha, I met the warlock, but I didn't get the information that you seek," he said, making me frown immediately, as I really want to know who was responsible for the death of my mate.
"But Alpha there is something else," he said, making me face him immediately, as I asked him.
"And what is that?" I asked him, while I sighed softly.
"According to the warlock, you have been given a second chance mate but the moon goddess," he said, making me gasp as I never expected it.
"That's really good then," I said, not able to believe what he had just said.
"Yes, all the pain you had to endure every blood moon will finally come to an end," he said, while I nodded my head, and just then I remembered today was another blood moon," I told him, while he sighed softly.
"That's really not a problem, but I wished I could go with you for this search for your mate," he said, making me look sincerely in his eyes.
"I understand that you really want to go, but I will really want you to stay back, and watch the pack, I really can't feel comfortable if the pack is not in capable hands," I told him, while he just nodded his head, claiming to understand.
My mind went off to the pain I was meant to endure again tonight, and I really wished I had known about my second chance mate before now, that was I would have been able to escape the pain.
But it's all good, that I have finally gotten the knowledge about her, and I need her to save me from this misery, and pain.
Though I knew it would be hard for me to love her just the way I had loved Isabella, because I know they would never be the same, and she can't be as good as Isabella to me.
But I would be glad to have her beside me, to help me stop this pain of every blood moon.
I thought and took a deep breath, as I looked forward to the night time and the blood moon was already coming, but I wished it could be postponed to after I had found my mate, since the pain was really so unbearable.
