Unbelievable! He couldn't even be bothered to explain it to her!

Valerie found everything extremely ridiculous.

She always thought that Wendell was like a lofty flower on the mountaintop, having his own pride and disdaining to engage in any extramarital affairs.

But... He quietly dropped a bombshell to their relationship.

Not only did he bring the woman into their home, but he even had a child with her.

Valerie suddenly came to terms with the reality of the situation, and the remaining trace of sadness in her heart also dissipated.

"So, is this considered an affair within marriage?"

Before Wendell could speak, Odelia couldn't wait and stood between them, her eyes filled with tears. "Ms. Harold, it's all my fault. If you want to do anything to anyone, come at me..."

"Really?"

Valerie immediately raised her arm high, ready to slap Odelia.

Odelia let out a cry and nervously hid behind Wendell.

"Did you not just say I can do anything? Then why are you dodging?"

Valerie casually adjusted her loose hair and smiled ambiguously. "There's no need for so much drama. I am a civilized person and I can't allow myself to teach a mistress a lesson with my hands."

"If you two truly love each other, not only will I not tear you apart, I will even support you with my whole heart!"

"Wh-What?"

This move completely caught Odelia off guard. It seemed that her preparation was useless this time.

It seemed that the rumors were true.

Their marriage was just a deal and they never loved each other.

Otherwise, how could a wife face a mistress so calmly and with all that generosity?

Then, Valerie continued, "However, since this is an affair within marriage, I think we need to renegotiate the property division in our divorce agreement."

Upon hearing Valerie's intention to fight for property, Odelia became so anxious that she didn't even bother pretending anymore. She went hysterical instantly, "Wendell has already given you four billion dollars plus a mansion. He has been generous enough. Besides, in these years, the Joule family has done a lot to clean up the mess for the Harold family. You should not be too greedy..."

Valerie burst into laughter from anger and retorted directly, "Oh, I’m still his wife, and you, a mistress, you are already so eager to take my place and be the next Mrs. Joule, and you look so afraid that I will take more money from your man. Who is really greedy here?"

Odelia seemed to have been slapped in the face and her face turned red and pale alternately. "I...I didn't mean that..."

Wendell didn't show much expression. His deep eyes stared at Valerie with a strong sense of oppression as he coldly said, "Go ahead."

Valerie met Wendell's intimidating gaze head-on and straightforwardly stated her demands.

"I don't want your four billion dollars or any mansion. You have a law firm called Joule Law Firm under your name. Just transfer the ownership to me."

"Law firm? "

Wendell furrowed his eyebrows slightly, trying hard to remember.

The Joule family was one of the eight major families in the city with numerous industries under their name. A mere law firm naturally didn't leave a deep impression on him.

But he remembered that there seemed to be such a law firm specifically for handling legal matters for the Joule family. It was now more like an insignificant place that housed only idle people who had no ambition at all. It was practically worthless.

Yet this woman rejected four billion dollars in cash and unexpectedly wanted something that didn't make money. What was she thinking?

Unconsciously, there was a hint of curiosity in Wendell's eyes as he looked at Valerie.

In just a few days of not seeing each other, she seemed very different!

"These are my only requirements. After modifying the divorce agreement, I will give the new one to you. It's getting late today, so let's leave it at that."

"Also, I wish you and your mistress and your child a very happy life."

Valerie lifted her chin and had a radiant smile on her face as if she had just closed a “big deal”, appearing more carefree and satisfied than ever.
