After Rebirth, I Became the Daughter of the Richest Man
Summary
Liam stood at the doorstep of the foster home, wearing a faded old shirt that had clearly been washed too many times. My younger sister Bella, who had always cared about money more than anything else, ran toward him with a bright smile. She threw herself into his arms and called out sweetly, “Liam.” In that instant, I knew—Bella had been reborn too.
Chapter 1
Liam stood at the doorstep of the foster home, wearing a faded old shirt that had clearly been washed too many times.
My younger sister Bella, who had always cared about money more than anything else, ran toward him with a bright smile. She threw herself into his arms and called out sweetly, “Liam.”
In that instant, I knew—Bella had been reborn too.
In our previous life, when the ultra-wealthy Sterling family from New York came to adopt, along with the dirt-poor Lombardo family, Bella shoved me to the ground and dashed toward the black stretch Lincoln parked outside.
“I’m not going to suffer through a poor girl’s life, Chloe. You take that misery for me.”
She got what she wanted—life as a glamorous socialite on the Upper East Side. But her smile faded a little more each day.
Five years later, she was kicked out of the Sterling home and died wretchedly on a Brooklyn street.
Me? I earned a full-ride scholarship with my grades, got into an Ivy League school, and studied abroad with Liam.
We married with our adoptive parents’ blessings, raised children, and lived a peaceful, happy life.
Now, in this second life, Bella made the exact opposite choice.
I looked at Liam—the man who had once shared a lifetime with me—hoping he’d say something.
But he pulled Bella behind him protectively. His cold blue eyes locked on mine.
“Stay away from Bella.”
As Bella looked at me smugly, I turned and walked toward the stretch Lincoln.
Perfect. I wanted to live a different life this time anyway.

"Please get in, Miss Chloe."
The Sterling family hadn’t sent anyone else—just a uniformed chauffeur.
As he drove, he spoke through the rearview mirror, reminding me of the strict rules I’d need to follow once we reached the Sterling estate.
The car soon pulled into the Hamptons, into a neighborhood lined with mansions.
I followed him through the gates of an estate that looked more like a palace than a home.
“Mrs. Sterling, the girl has arrived,” he announced.
The elegant woman sitting on a leather sofa, sipping Earl Grey tea, looked up and studied me. She gestured for me to come closer.
“Come here, darling.”
“What’s your name?”
“Chloe.”
She nodded slightly. “Very well. From now on, your name is Chloe Sterling.”
“Alfred, take her upstairs.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
I followed the butler, Alfred, step by step.
The banisters were carved from rare mahogany. The floor beneath our feet gleamed with expensive marble imported from Italy.
Everything spoke of old money—refined, restrained, and impossibly luxurious.
In my past life, I had earned all of this through sheer hard work.
So it didn’t surprise me.
Alfred glanced back at me, a flicker of disbelief in his eyes.
He opened a door, revealing a massive princess-style suite.
“Miss, this will be your room from now on.”
“Please rest for a bit. I’ll come back later.”
With that, he left.
I stepped inside and took in my surroundings.
The room was beautiful, exuding the luxury and refinement of high society.
It was obvious the Sterlings, even if adopting for tax-deduction charity purposes, weren’t stingy about it.
A rush of excitement welled up inside me.
In my previous life, I had clawed my way up Wall Street without any powerful family backing me. I had earned a taste of wealth with nothing but my own hands.
But in this life, I had entered the Sterling family.
With the resources of a billionaire dynasty behind me, I knew I could go even further.
