Returning home, the thought of Richard and Susan's intimate scene in the office made me start to retch uncontrollably.

In a frenzy, I threw my phone into the toilet and then vomited.

I felt as if every part of my body that Richard had touched was tainted, so I began to wash frantically.

Suddenly, Richard called out, "Jessie?"

When he saw my skin red and broken from the washing, he immediately grasped my hands tightly. "What are you doing? Why are you washing so vigorously? If your skin breaks, it would break my heart."

I pulled my hand away, coldly saying, "My phone accidentally fell into the toilet. I couldn’t retrieve it."

Richard placed my hand on his chest. His torso was warm, warming my hand.

In the past, such a gesture would have moved me.

Now, however, it only reminded me of him reaching into Susan’s blouse.

My stomach cramped again, and a nauseous feeling surged, and I pushed Richard away quickly.

"Susan, are you alright?" Richard frowned at me, his eyes filled with concern.

"I'm fine, just can't stand being touched. I think I'm a bit allergic," I explained.

Richard sighed. "If the phone is dirty, just throw it away. I’ll take you to buy a new one tomorrow."

"As it happens, tomorrow is our third wedding anniversary. Let’s go out and celebrate."

Looking at his tender expression, I wanted to ask him. “If you're tainted, can I throw you away?”

That night, I woke up from sleep, not seeing Richard beside me.

Previously, he always held me until dawn, saying he could only sleep well holding me.

But now, he was gone.

I found Richard on the balcony.

He was on a call.

Because I came from the future world, all the functions of my body far exceed those of humans in the current era. My hearing was very good, so I could hear their conversation.

"Richard, I love the diamond necklace you gave me. It's even prettier than the four you gave last month."

"Wearing it makes me sparkle like a star."

Richard sounded impatient. "Alright, earning a necklace worth tens of thousands for one night’s sleep. You’ve made a fortune."

"You’re great in bed and good-looking. I like you," Susan giggled. "Let's video chat."

"No way. Jessie is sleeping. If she finds out, you're dead."

"Don't worry. Just be careful, and she won’t find out. Tonight, for you, I wore a lace lingerie..."

Richard fell silent. I saw excitement in his eyes.

"I’ll go to the restroom."

Hearing Richard's panting from the restroom, I silently returned to bed and wrapped myself tightly with the blanket.

After arriving in this era, my team provided me with substantial funds to focus on data recording here.

Most of these funds went into supporting Richard’s research.

I knew he was ambitious, but lacked funds.

To protect his ego, I always communicated with him through a virtual account.

Lately, he had been asking for money more frequently. I thought his project was making great progress.

But it turned out he had asked me for so much money to buy necklaces for Susan!

I wrapped myself tightly with the blanket, yet still shivered from the cold.

Suddenly, my watch lit up.

It was a communication watch for contacting my colleagues from the future world.

"Jessie, the timeship has launched and will arrive in five days. Don’t be late."

Thank heavens! In five days, I could leave this nauseating relationship behind.
