Chapter 3

I gave mum a peck on the cheek, ignoring the frown on her face as she glared at me.

"My Lovely Momma, how was your night?" I said cutely and when she was about to answer, Trish came in.

I ran to the dinning table, pulled out a chair and sat down.

I drew my food closer, took a sandwich, and munch away. I could hear her voice in the living room, as she greeted mum.

I started hearing footsteps, and i knew she was coming towards the dinning and i tried to runaway, But still the She-devil still succeeded in snatching my plate which still contained 2 sandwiches away from me.

"There is love in sharing" Trish said and winked at me. I stood up and ran towards her but she dodge me and ran to the living room.

"Mum, she took my food and look, she is eating it!" I whined as I got to the living room and spotted mum sitting down.

But mum ignored me. She turned to Trish.

"Deary, pls can you hand me that phone? Thanks my dear"

"You guys should be on your way to school and not here being silly.

I've packed food for you both, and Trish congratulations, heard you are gonna be attending the same school as my little blossom from now on, pls watch her and make sure she stay out of trouble" Mom said looking at me with a frown.

If only she knew that it's actually me that it's gonna be watching and making sure Trisha doesn't end up in a huge messy trouble.

"Of course mum, that won't be a problem at all. I will make sure I take care of her and watch her, besides I am older than her, so..I will do my role as an elder sister." Trish said and started patting my head with a huge smile on her face.

Mum laughed. I glared at Trish and she hurriedly removed her hand from my head.

"I am not your younger sister" I said through tightly clenched teeth.

"Yes u are, I am older.........

"With just 1 month Trish, 1 month!!" I said interrupting her. Her smile turned into a wide grin.

"Now that's enough both of you. Go get your food in the kitchen and go to school right now!!." Mum said her hands akimbo.

We dashed to the kitchen, took a can drink each. I took the packed food, put it in my bag and the both of us gave mum a peck on the cheek and scurried out of the house.

Immediately we sighted a cab coming, we stopped it, said our destination and in we went and off we go.

Trish checked her phone and smiled. "Its just 7:01, we aren't late yet."

"How do you know?" I countered. She sounded so sure almost like she isn't a new student.

"When I went to register, I was told, I must arrive at least before 7:30, so see, we aren't late." Trish said and winked at me.

I huffed.

"Oh, least I forget, it seems your mum doesn't know that your phone has spoilt, how do you manage to hide it from her. Or have you told her yet?"

"Of course not, you know mum will just nag my head of, I miss my phone so much, now you have spoiled my mood.

I have been trying to forget it and also forget yesterday's humiliation too, but now you have resurrected the image of what happened yesterday again.

I have decided to take another job and when I get paid, I will save it and when it is eventually enough, I will get a new phone. What do you think?" I asked facing Trish now.

"Sounds okay for me. We'll seek for a new job together, I will share my income with you so you buy another phone before your mum and dad, notice your phone is spoilt." She said smiling at me.

"Thanks sis, I love u"

"We're here young ladies" the cab driver said as the car rolled to a stop.

We got out and Trish paid and we head straight to the school gigantic gate.

WRITER POV

Immediately they got to the school entrance, the bell rang, indicating the first period had started.

"See ya later Trish, I gotta go to class now, I guess you know the way to the principal's office now?" Kate said after describing the way as easy as she could.

"Yeah I get it now,,,See you later, I hope we be in the same class though." Trish said.

"Yeah, me too, I hope against hope that bastard doesn't show up today." Kate said referring to Raphael.

Trish laughed and slowly shook her head and they went their separate ways.

Kate got to class and discovered that their Biology teacher was in. She entered and greeted the teacher who looked at her and frowned.

" you are 2 minutes late young Lady " He said.

"Am sorry sir, I was.........

"That's okay,,, apology accepted go and take your seat." Kate smiled,

"Thank you sir" She looked around hoping to see an empty chair, as it seems that her usual seat have been occupied.

Kate sighted an empty seat at the back and rushed to seat there. She looked at the person seating next to her but he Zsazsa*was looking outside.

Suddenly the person turned to her and she gasped.

Not only was Raphael present in school but he was also sitting right next to her, she intended to stand up but stopped immediately, seeing that the teacher had already continued his teaching, she didn't want to get in the black list of her teacher and she also didn't wanna sit with this psychopath.

Kate was surprised. he turned his attention to the teacher, ignoring her completely, and she released a sigh of relief.

MINUTES LATER.....

The class was getting boring, and Kate was feeling sleepy. She rested her head on the desk and slept off.......
