I get up from my bed, it's my 4th day here, so the party is tonight. I spent a lot of time with Julia. She told me a bit about her old pack, I think it did her a lot of good to talk about it in the background. She told me about Marjorie who is her best friend and who comes from the same pack as her, the wolf works in the city now. She also mentioned blushing that when another pack intervened to stop her Alpha, she felt that her soulmate was there but she was in a bad state because of her Alpha tyrant. She still doesn't know who the one she felt through the bond is. Especially since she doesn't have a great sense of smell to be able to recognize her smell or anything being an angel.

It made me happy that she confided in me because even if I get on well with Lucas and Auntie, I felt alone. They all have important things to manage and often talk about it over meals so let's just say it doesn't help me feel included but I can't blame them for doing their job.

As I go downstairs for lunch, I catch a wolf staring at me. He just seems intrigued so I smile at him but he immediately lowers his gaze as if caught in the act. It's strange but my stomach calls me to order with a growl.

While I have lunch, the staff constantly go back and forth between the dining room and the kitchens to drop off the dishes they are preparing to go to the place of the ceremony which does not take place until the same evening. Once again, I have the opportunity to notice that my eyes are being avoided. Ok, I have to go ask Alex what's going on, it's way too weird.

-Enter Laura. I didn't even have time to knock when he answered me already. It will take me a while to get used to the supernatural abilities of wolves. You have a problem ? He must have noticed the worried look, my face is clearly an open book.

- The wolves are avoiding me and I don't understand why. I have done something wrong ?

He gets up and comes to surround me with his arms, I let myself go and he puts his chin on my head, whispering "I missed you". I smile tenderly, even though he doesn't see it. After a few moments, he separates from me smiling, I have the impression that having me in his arms “resources” him in a way.

-I was going to take a break, do you want to go for a walk? I'm sure he had absolutely no plans to take a break, he's always busy and it's way too early. So he's only doing this to hang out with me and it's super cute.

-Of course ! Where are we going ?

-Would you like to see the forest behind the gardens? For a human, this might seem weird, but for a wolf, going to the forest is absolutely normal.

-At least no wolf will have to look away when crossing me like that. I answer maliciously

- I plead guilty he said laughing.

We walk through the gardens talking and I have to admit it's quite pleasant. We end up reaching the edge of the forest, I shiver when we enter it, the sun doesn't reach us anymore and my tank top doesn't keep me so warm anymore.

-Come, there is a clearing not far away you can put yourself in the sun. Alex leaves the path and I have a little trouble following him, my converses are not made for walking on branches and roots but luckily I don't fall. I would have died of shame I think, already that Alex is obliged to wait for me! He's much more comfortable than me, he doesn't seem to be cold either. I often forget that werewolves are a warm-blooded species.

I join Alex who is already at the edge of the stream and settle down on a large stone heated by the sun with a sigh of happiness. I tilt my head back to enjoy the warmth. Alex looks at me with amusement. We stay in soothing silence for a moment and then I start to stare at him while he looks away.

-What ? Oops, I'm not known discreet as that apparently.

-I was wondering what your wolf looked like. It's not really a lie, I thought about it, I just drifted on his square jaw afterwards and then on... stop! Seriously, I need to stop getting lost in my thoughts!

Alex smirks, I don't know if he knows what's going on in my head or if he just noticed that I'm no longer on this earth.

-Actually, he's been waiting to meet you in person for a while. His name is Tyler.

After the announcement of the existence of supernatural species 4 years ago, it took me a long time to understand that if werewolves have two forms, a human and a wolf, their consciousness is also split into two parts. Tyler is therefore the wolf part of Alex.

He gets up and pulls his t-shirt over his head, I can't help but let my gaze wander to his bulging abs. I look up when his hands land on his jeans to pull them off rather than rip them as he transforms. His eyes slowly turn a fiery red, a sign that Tyler is taking control. All his bones are cracking so much that I wrinkle my nose, it must hurt horribly!

I now face a massive wolf, a uniform deep gray, its red eyes almost calling me. I remain frozen as he is majestic with the sun beating down on his coat. He approaches me and nudges my shoulder with his wet muzzle which makes me laugh.

- Hi Tyler. I raise my hand to plunge it into his coat, he's super soft! Is Alex's hair the same? He seems appreciated since he rolls his shoulders under my caresses. He ends up walking away in the direction of his clothes but he doesn't change back, on the contrary, he seems to be waiting for me.

-You want something ? I didn't think a wolf could be so expressive but this one is special. He grabs his clothes in his mouth and I start to walk beside him when he stops me with a grunt.

-What ? Motionless, I try to understand what he wants to tell me. He lowers his head to my knees and passes between.

- Uh Tyler what are you doing? He sits up and I find myself almost sitting on top of him. You wanted me to ride on your back? Of course he doesn't answer me, plus now I can't see his face anymore to try to understand.

He takes a step forward and I wobble on his back, it's not very stable a giant wolf! I cling tightly to his hair hoping not to hurt him but he's not complaining. He darts and runs through the forest, he jumps over the roots on his way and the feeling is just awesome! I feel his muscles roll under me and the wind blows my hair. We arrive in no time at the foot of the Palace and I laugh, euphoric because of the adrenaline rush. I cringe when Tyler knocks me off his back with a jerk.

I sit on the floor and cross my arms over my chest, annoyed. I hear him change back behind me, followed by the sound of clothing, a sign that he's gotten dressed. We are still in the middle of the gardens but the wolves are not bothered with modesty with their frequent transformations.

He bursts out laughing when he sees me sulking. He grabs me by the waist and lifts me to force me to stand. But I keep sulking even in his arms so he leaves one hand on my waist to trap me against him while the other grabs my face and turns my head to the side so he can see my face . He smiles at my sulky face and puts his lips against mine, I smile in our kiss, I was going to turn around to find myself facing him but a voice intervenes.

-Ah, you're there, I've been looking for you for an hour, man! Alex peels off my lips without letting go of my waist. I see, says Lucas when he sees us. The Alpha growls, unhappy at being interrupted.

- What Lucas?

-The Alpha of Spain is here and he has been waiting for you for a while.

-He was not supposed to arrive before 10:20, against Alex.

-It's 10:30 a.m....

-Shit ! Alex curses while going quickly towards the house. I went to see him around 9am, we spent that much time in the forest?
