WAY BACK IN HIGH SCHOOL, I was transferred in  Manila even though I still want to continue my studies in Paris.  It happened because my mother and father got divorced and my mom doesn’t want to cross paths with him ever again. At first, studying in a most famous Campus is a bit boring for me ,  I didn’t even made an effort to befriend anyone including my classmates. I just wanted to finished my  studies in there in a fast period of time so I can fly back to Paris with mom. Since she promised me that we will go back there if I’ll become a valedictorian on the coming graduation. I know it’s kind of pressure but  I am determined to finished it with that title.  And Four years of studying in a famous  Campus , I was able to meet a man whom I poured my love and my attention to . He is different from anyone.  He is someone you  can trust easily because he is not pretentious and arrogant, in fact he wanted to be a famous  Engineer when he finished college, but sadly ,he can’t afford that anymore, he is just poor  who only depended his survival with his part-time jobs. Hearing that, my heart went out for him. I wanted to marry him and give him the luxury that I  was enjoying , but  He is not Materialistic, so he didn’t like the idea.
And what most I admire from him ,is his honesty  and faithfulness in everything.
“  Sam, you forget your wallet”  He uttered when  he finally found me at the campus gate.
“ Oh thank you. “ I said happily and accepted my wallet ,then I look at him . he is sweaty and he is panting, he is obviously running all the way to me.
“ do you want to eat or drink something?” I asked hoping I could repay his kindness, but he did reject me gently. He doesn’t want to be treated by anybody as if he is a beggar, and that’s one reason why I find it difficult for me to help him because he got mad Every time I try to.
“ no thank you, I can afford that myself. You can use that money of yours for your studies and other miscellaneous fees.” He said and turned his back from me.
He is not sweet like the other kind of boyfriend , but he has this characteristic that  can make you feel his sweetness without  trying  . and I got used to his treatment towards me, because I am not just a person that he needed to think of, but he also need to think of his younger sister Sasha.
At first it’s kind of strange but later on I successfully adapted into it and there’s no wrong with it, in fact it also helped us to do our goals without the threat and risk of messing everything up and ruined our future . So we don’t usually date and went to places that is not crowded,. We don’t waste money in expensive restaurants, we don’t go on bar hopping and have picnic on the park. Instead we spend our time together differently. At times he helped me with my assignments, and at times I help him with his part time jobs. And with that ,I could say that we become productive.
When I was in Second year,  Bryle enrolled as a first year student and I am proud of him no matter what. He is trying his best to send himself in school by the help of his hard works and  determination. And that made us even closer. One day ,he is in the Journalism room , busy printing with all the thick pages from the newly released article. I smiled as I tried to surprised  him with a beautiful lunch.
“ Hey, here’s your lunch, hope you can accept that.” I said cutely, because  I know Bryle don’t usually accept anything from me. Not even a penny.
“ Why are you buying me lunch again? I can buy my own Samantha.” He said seriously but he is not angry, he just don’t like the idea.
“ I am just so concerned about you, it’s already twelve and yet your still here ,printing that pages.” I wrinkled my nose and he sighed.
“ Thank you, but I am fine. I am used to it. Don’t worry I’ll be finish soon, I’ll but my own lunch .” Bryle said and kissed my forehead..
I smiled at him and took the lunchbox I bought again. There is no chance that he would take this. I sighed.
I opened the lunch box and looked at the food, I picked the spoon and shoveled the rice and I thrust it in his mouth when he least expected it.  I laughed when he swallowed it directly and almost choked.
“ Hey! Are you planning of killing me.” He frown at me ,but he didn’t shout nor tried to speak ill  to me.
I sighed and smiled at him.
“ It’s the only thing I can do to you so please.” I begged and because I know he really loves me, he let me  feed him . And I find it very romantic . I wish we will stay like this. Because If. I could decide , I would stay with him and  spend my life with him without regret.
And when I passed to third year high school ,Bryle wasn’t able to enrolled in second year because his savings were drained when his sister Sasha got Severe Pneumonia and Amoeba. And seeing the Haggard and stressed look of Bryle’s face, I could say that he is about to give up yet he managed to keep going for the sake of his sister and for his future.  He even lack of money for the bills, that’s why I act secretly , I  stole ten thousand pesos from my mother’s chest and brought it to the hospital so I could help pay the bills and when I got home,  my mom almost strangled me but when I said that I used it for my  books and extra allowance in food,  she instantly calm down and said sorry to me.  My mom hugged me and told me that I should asked properly next time.


First night of staying at Bryle’s house is a challenge for me, because even though I tried to be as comfortable as I could, I still can’t because of the buzzing of mosquitos, the scary night sounds , and there’s also cockroaches that made me shout at the middle of the night. Oh Lord. It is harder than what I expected.Bryle rushed into my room ,the moment he heard my frightened scream. He look around and check my room.“ Hey, what happened ? are you okay?” He asked worriedly ,when he couldn’t see something unusual.“ C-cockroaches. I saw two of them crawling at my feet.” My voice shake and I hugged my pillow tightly.“ Oh, I am sorry “. He said sorry and I felt bad about it. He is trying his best to make me comfortable, but I repay him with more worries.“ Bryle..”“ Hmm,”“ I am sorry, don’t worry I’ll try to be as comfortable as I can .” I said but thinking of how to get rid of those cockroaches, I shivered .“ I am sorry. But I can’t afford to let you stay in a Luxurious place yet. I am just a newbie in my job and I am still studying. I can’t afford to bring you to a hotel or other places.” He looks so sad ,that I even see him sig.“ Good night Bryle. Sleep well.” I said and he doubt if he should go, but I motioned my hands like a fan to make him read my sign language that he should be going out first.“ well you be alright here?” He asked and I looked around my room..“ I will. I’ll be fine in here. You can leave me alone already.” I said and smiled at him to reassures him that I’ll be fine. I don’t want to disturbed him anymore in this middle of the night, because--- I learn from Sasha earlier that He will have an exam tomorrow. When He felt that I’m alright, Bryle slowly went out of my room and bade goodbye and I gave him a flying kiss.And I went back to sleep. I ignored all the unnecessary noises and scary thoughts and decided to close my eyes. I also tried to forget about cockroaches.but early the next morning, I woke up like a zombie. My body is weak, my eye bags grow big and I feel dizzy and sleepy because--- I haven’t seep well last night. Actually I only slept for two hours. But I kept it from Bryle because I don’t want to bother him.
