Q: Why do I have to pay to read? It is expensive?
A: Payment is a kind of acknowledgement for authors. Only with your support can the authors write more wonderful books. Meanwhile, we are much obliged to you for using our app, and we will release free books from time to time as bonuses.
Q: Why are the coins not added to my account while showing "Recharge Successfully"? (Android Version)
A: It may result from network delay. Please wait a moment and refresh the page to check the account balance. If the coins are not added successfully within 24 hours, please send your Hinovel ID and proof of Order to our customer service. We will settle it at once. You may find your proof of Order in two different ways.

① Open your email inbox and search for the receipt Google has sent you. Please make sure you are searching the same email as the one you have used to make the payment.

② Find your receipt according to the following steps

1. Log into your Google account

2. On the left, click Subscription and Service

3. Click Purchases

4. Select an order to check receipt

5. Find the item you want and click Total Billed

Q: Why there is a failure to recharge?
A: Check your network, confirm whether the payment methods has been bound to your Google Play or AppStore, or send the screenshot/video about the problem to the customer service.
Q: Any other recharge methods?
A: Only Google Play and App Store are accepted for other third party payments are restricted.
Q: What can I get as a VIP?
A: VIP is a special offer to readers. As a VIP, you can receive the corresponding coins immediately. Furthermore, you can get rewards for free by starting app daily.

Coins and Bonuses Related Questions

Q: What's the difference between Coins and Bonuese?
A: ① Coins are purchased and never expire. Bonuese are given as free gifts through top-ups and various tasks, and they have an expiration date.

② When unlocking chapters, Bonuese and Coins are equally effective, with Bonuese being deducted first.

Note: You can go to "My Wallet" > "Rewards and Expiration Dates" to check the expiration date of your Bonuese.

Q: My Coins or Bonuese suddenly disappeared?
A: ① Please make sure you haven't switched accounts. We currently support Google, Facebook, and Apple ID logins. If you haven't used any of these login methods, your account is a guest account.

② If your Bonuese are missing, go to "My Wallet" > "Bonus and Expiration Dates" to check your Bonuese. Some of them might have expired.

③ Make sure you haven't enabled the auto-unlock feature. Go to "My Wallet" > "Transaction History" to check your Gold Coin or Reading Coin consumption records. You can disable the auto-unlock feature in "Settings."

Q: How can I get free Bonuses?
A: You can get Bonuses through top-ups and tasks.

Q: Why can't I open a chapter?
A: ① Please check if your network is working properly, clear the app cache, or download the latest version of the app and try reading again. If the problem persists, please send a screenshot/video of the issue to customer service, and we will resolve it as soon as possible.

② You might be reading a paid book. Make sure you have enough Bonuses or Coins to unlock the chapter

Q: Why are the chapters I unlocked with Coins locked again?
A: Please check if you logged in with another account to read. If it's the same account, please contact HiNovel customer service, and we will resolve the issue as soon as possible.
Q: Why can't I find the books recommended by Hinovel on Facebook?
A: First, try switching to your local language by going to HiNovel "Me" - "Settings" - "Language Settings." After switching, try searching again. If you still can't find the book, please contact customer service for guidance.
Q: How can I find the books I've read?
A: Go to the "Me" page > "Read" to view your reading history.
Q: What should I do if I'm back to the first chapter?
A: Tap anywhere on the reading page, then tap the "Table of Contents" icon in the bottom left corner to quickly select the chapter you want to read. To prevent this issue from happening again, try going to the "Me" page > "Settings" to clear the cache.
Q: How can I set the font size and reading mode?
A: Tap anywhere on the reading page to display the reading mode and font setting buttons at the bottom of the page.
Q: How can I switch languages?
A: Go to the "Me" page > "Settings" to switch languages.

Content Questions

Q: What should I do if the chapter content is repeated?
A: Please send the book title and the chapter with repeated content to HiNovel customer service, and we will resolve the issue as soon as possible.
Q: What should I do when encountering grammar errors or related problems while reading?
A: You can leave a message for the author in the book comments section with reasonable suggestions, or send the book title and chapter to HiNovel customer service, and we will resolve the issue as soon as possible.
Q: Why have some books disappeared?
A: The book you were reading might have been temporarily removed due to sensitive topics or other issues. Please read other books available in the bookstore, search page, or check out popular books on the ranking list.
Q: Why hasn't the book been updated?
A: To ensure the quality of the book, the author needs some time to come up with new ideas. We will update the book as soon as the author completes new chapters. Meanwhile, please be patient and feel free to explore completed books in the bookstore and on the search page.

Task Questions

Q: Why can't I watch ads?
A: Google may not have filled the ads in time. Please try watching ads later. If you're unable to watch ads for 1-3 days, please contact HiNovel customer service.
Q: Why is the sign-in task abnormal?
A: Please check if you logged in with another account to sign in or if you went to the taskbar to sign in daily. You can go to "My Wallet" > "Rewards and Expiration Dates" to check your sign-in records. If you have any issues, please contact HiNovel customer service, and we will resolve the problem as soon as possible.
Q: How can I get more Bonuses?
A: We will periodically update the tasks and activities that reward Bonuses. You can follow our Facebook/Instagram pages for additional opportunities to earn Bonuses.

Account Related Questions

Q: Why can't I log in?
A: If you fail to log in via a third-party APP, pleas open the third-party APP such as Facebook to check whether you’ve logged into your third party account, and then open Hinovel to try to log in again. If the problem is still not resolved, please contact the customer service personnel of Hinovel.
Q: Why did my account become a guest account (which had caused the changes in my balance)?
A: Guest accounts are automatically generated by the system and have never been bound to any third-party APP like Facebook and Google. To recover your Hinovel account, please log in via a third-party APP as you did before. If the problem is still not resolved, please contact the customer service of Hinovel.
Q: I used a new device but the account doesn’t seem to be the old account I have been using?
A: If your old ID is a guest ID that has never been bound to any third party account (like Google and Facebook), you will be assigned a new ID whenever you log in from a new device. If you want to use your old ID from your new device, you need to first bind your old ID to a third party account from your old device and log in via your third party account from your old device.
