Forbidden Contract: Desire Unleashed
I stood in the expansive kitchen of Logan’s penthouse, surrounded by the ingredients for dinner, but all I could focus on was the heat radiating from him as he leaned against the doorway, arms crossed, that familiar smirk playing on his lips. “Need any help?” His voice dripped with honey, making my heart race. “I’ve got it under control,” I replied, trying to sound confident, but the air between us was electric. “Really? Because it looks like you might slice your fingers off,” he teased, stepping closer, the distance between us shrinking. “Okay, maybe I could use a hand,” I admitted, my cheeks heating as he guided my shaky hand, his arm brushing against mine, igniting a rush of heat. “Just like this,” he instructed, his breath tickling my ear. “You’ll get the hang of it.” I glanced up, my heart pounding as our eyes locked. “Logan, do you really think we can pull this off?” “We have to,” he murmured, his voice low. “But we need to act like we’re a couple.” “Are you okay with that?” I asked, my voice barely a whisper. His hand found my cheek, fingers grazing my skin. “I want you to be comfortable with me,” he whispered, leaning closer until his lips brushed against my ear. “Because if we’re going to convince everyone, we need to make it real.” I shivered at his proximity, the heat between us palpable. “What if we get caught in a moment?” “Then we embrace it.” His lips found my forehead in a tender kiss, causing me to flinch at the warmth. “Sorry,” I murmured, leaning back slightly, overwhelmed. “Don’t be,” he said softly. “Just trust me.” The intensity of his gaze held me captive, and as the world outside faded, I realized I was already falling into his spell.
