Albilio was a slave boy taken to Lisbon to manage Sir Carlos' Burdon Farm Estate for him. The farm produce rekindled the zeal of wine making in the heart of the king of Portugal, King Domjoe who had a daughter named Dores. Like her father, she had developed some likeness for Albilio ever since she knew that the Apples from Burdon Farm Estate were managed by this slave purchased from among the people called Igbos in West Africa. Albilio was a very handsome Black man and a dedicated farm worker who manages other slaves under him in Burdon Farm Estate. However, problem loomed when princess Dores whose husband, Alberto had cheated before decided to follow her heart, both as a revenge and as a way of following her heart above all odds. It was a temptation for Albilio, both to accept her advances and to reject same. At last, Dores had her way ,but it didn't stop as one night stand; it continued until she became pregnant. But at the time Sir Alberto was still rejoicing over her baby, baby Genevova started manifesting physical features that could only be Black African and he started questioning. This led to separation. But when Dores made it known to Alberto that she was aware of the cheating he had with his Mistress, he started looking for reconciliation, but Dores had made up her mind to leave the marriage and spur her father, King Domjoe to work for the end of slavery in her Country. Nevertheless, when the king decided to reward Albilio and slaves under him for the supplies they did for him, Albilio mistakenly thought that the king had known that he was responsible for his daughter's pregnancy and separation from her husband and would kill him; out of fear and a resolve not to have himself made ready for public humiliation and murder, he committed suicide. Now the death of Albilio and the mystery it was, brought and end of slavery in Portugal.
